Promoting the tradition of steadfast revolution, bringing Cat Tien commune to develop quickly and sustainably

(GLO)- On August 21, speaking at the 1st Congress of Cat Tien Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung requested the locality to continue promoting the tradition of steadfast revolution, bringing the commune to rapid and sustainable development.

Also attending the Congress were comrades: Tran Cang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of the Department of Finance; Huynh Thuy Van - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Huu Tuyen - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Ha Duy Trung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; and 141 delegates representing 760 party members of 35 affiliated grassroots party organizations.

Cat Tien Commune Party Committee was established on the basis of merging 3 Party Committees: Cat Thanh Commune, Cat Hai Commune and Cat Tien Town. During the 2020-2025 term, the commune's economy continued to maintain a fairly good growth momentum. The average annual growth rate of total production value reached 14.63%.

The economic structure has shifted positively, towards increasing the proportion of industry, construction and trade and services; budget revenue has reached and exceeded the assigned estimate; average income per capita has reached nearly 65 million VND/year.

The work of building the Party and the political system has had many positive changes; the organizational apparatus has been streamlined, operating smoothly and effectively. The great national unity bloc has been consolidated, promoting the people's right to mastery, creating high consensus in the whole society.

In the period of 2025-2030, Cat Tien commune sets a target of achieving an average growth rate of total product value of 11.1%/year; attracting 5 new investment projects. Retail sales of goods and services reach 4,363 billion VND. Total budget revenue in the area by 2030 reaches 348 billion VND. The rate of disbursement of public investment capital compared to the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council reaches 100%.

Along with that, the average income per capita by 2030 will reach 69 million VND. The rate of rural residents using hygienic water will reach 100%, of which the rate of clean water use will reach 91%. The rate of solid waste collected in rural areas will reach 86%...

Speaking at the Congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Rah Lan Chung emphasized that Cat Tien commune is located as a connecting point with Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and other dynamic development areas of the province.

The locality also has great potential for marine economy, trade-services, marine eco-tourism and clean industry. With a system of beautiful beaches and its role as a key area for national defense and security, Cat Tien is identified as one of the key communes for socio-economic development of the province.

In order for Cat Tien commune to develop rapidly and sustainably in the coming term, comrade Rah Lan Chung suggested that the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee must quickly stabilize the organization and build solidarity and unity within the entire Party Committee. This is an urgent task, of decisive significance to the effectiveness of implementing the Congress Resolution.

At the same time, it is necessary to thoroughly and synchronously disseminate the two-level local government model to the political system and the people; promote the spirit of responsibility, discipline, and order throughout the Party; create high consensus in society, as a premise for successfully implementing political tasks in the new term.

In addition, the Party Committee of the commune focuses on leading socio-economic development; specifically identifying projects, plans, and key tasks that need to be implemented to successfully implement the goals of the Congress Resolution.

It is necessary to focus on exploiting the existing potentials and advantages of the locality to promote sustainable economic development. Focus on developing trade, services and tourism, closely combining the construction of tourist areas with the construction of cultural, sports, entertainment and eco-tourism areas.

In addition, Cat Tien commune needs to closely coordinate with the province's functional departments to review and speed up the progress of site clearance and resettlement arrangements for projects being implemented in the area; support and create the best conditions for infrastructure investment and soon put projects into operation.

Urgently coordinate with provincial departments and branches to update and adjust the general planning of the commune, especially the planning for the distribution and development of the coastal commercial corridor along route DT639, focusing on developing commercial centers, services, coastal tourism urban areas... Promoting the tradition of steadfast revolution, building Cat Tien commune to develop rapidly and sustainably, meeting urban civilization standards, and being a model.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the appointment of the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and the positions of Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Cat Tien Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, the Party Executive Committee of the commune has 25 comrades; comrade Nguyen Van Hung was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the commune.
