The Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations have chaired the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", associated with national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction and socio -economic development in ethnic minority, mountainous, border and island areas as well as patriotic emulation campaigns and movements. Accordingly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations pay special attention to implementing specific and effective models. Notably, promoting propaganda, mobilizing and supporting people to implement the province's socio-economic development policies and projects; encouraging the development of household economic models to increase income and create sustainable jobs. Along with that, accompanying the community to build and develop OCOP products typical of each locality, combining tourism and service development, both preserving cultural values and expanding the consumer market, improving product value and people's lives.
By the end of 2024, the whole province will have 91/91 communes meeting the new rural standards, of which 54 communes will meet the advanced standards, 25 communes will meet the model standards; 5/7 districts will meet the advanced standards. Notably, Dam Ha and Tien Yen are the first two districts in the country to be recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the advanced new rural standards. On May 27, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1013/QD-TTg, officially recognizing Quang Ninh as completing the task of building new rural areas in 2024, marking outstanding achievements of the entire term.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front and other organizations also play an active role in urban construction and beautification. Environmental protection and landscape beautification activities are implemented synchronously. "Green Sunday" is regularly maintained in 1,452 residential areas, attracting tens of thousands of people to participate in collecting and sorting waste at the source. The movement of planting trees, building model streets and roads has created a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape. Many public works have been socialized. People have donated hundreds of thousands of square meters of land, contributed tens of thousands of working days to build roads and welfare projects. Along with that, thousands of security cameras have been installed at key locations, contributing to ensuring security, order and traffic safety.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio -political organizations continued to promote their central role in solidarity, maintaining and expanding many basic activities. The "Lighting up the Countryside" movement installed and repaired 1,303 light bulbs, 381 poles and 1,900 meters of electric wire, with a total cost of 1.364 billion VND. At the same time, the whole province maintained 2,422 self-governing people's groups, coordinated patrols to ensure security, order and traffic safety, attracting 12,320 members to participate.
The Fatherland Front at all levels has mobilized households, villages, neighborhoods, communes, wards and towns to strive to achieve the titles of “Cultural Family”, “Cultural Village, Neighborhood”, “Typical Commune, Ward and Town”. In addition, the Fatherland Front also propagates and guides people to build a cultural and civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festival organization. At the same time, the Fatherland Front continues to collect people's satisfaction opinions, with a consensus rate of over 99.5%, affirming the solidarity and consensus of the community.
The results achieved affirm the key role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in promoting the strength of national solidarity, contributing to creating a new face for both rural and urban areas of Quang Ninh. Promoting those achievements, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels will continue to promote the campaign "National solidarity to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", associated with national target programs and patriotic emulation movements, focusing on improving the quality of new rural and civilized urban criteria. At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will innovate the content and methods of operation, strengthen supervision and social criticism, promote democracy, and create consensus among the people.
With a solid foundation from the achievements, Quang Ninh is confident to continue to be a bright spot of the whole country in the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas - where the spirit of solidarity and cooperation of the people, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations are highly promoted, contributing to the province's sustainable, civilized and modern development.
