Developing a tea brand over 60 years old

The event aims to promote and introduce the history of formation and development of the more than 60-year-old Duong Hoa tea brand.

The opening ceremony of the Festival took place at the tea field of village 8, Quang Long commune, with main activities such as the water-carrying ceremony, the ancient tea tree-carrying ceremony; the "birth" ceremony of watering the tea trees and giving tea seedlings to the young generation of the tea region; tea-making art performance; traditional tea-picking and tea-drying competitions.

The festival includes cultural and sports activities such as cycling races and group runs to explore tea hills; folk dance performances on tea fields; beautiful photo exhibitions of Duong Hoa tea area; competitions in processing and introducing green tea-flavored dishes; volleyball, stick pushing, and tug of war competitions; visiting the space introducing Duong Hoa tea products, products of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program, and local culinary culture.

In addition, visitors to Hai Ha can also visit, study and experience the Dao ethnic culture in the communes of Quang Duc and Quang Son; enjoy high-class beach and island resorts combined with golf, sightseeing and ecological research in Cai Chien island commune; enjoy mountain lake resorts, combined with weekend entertainment and sightseeing and experiencing community culture at Truc Bai Son lake (Quang Son commune).

Visitors can also immerse themselves in the space of Duong Hoa tea; explore Duong Hoa tea regions, tea production and processing facilities...

Speaking at the Festival, Mr. Ho Duc Quang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Ha district, said that from the potential, advantages, and fertile land of the district suitable for the development of tea trees, after more than 60 years of formation and development, the locality has become the largest raw tea area of Quang Ninh province with over 800 hectares, along with many delicious and high-quality tea varieties.

The locality has many tea products that have been recognized as OCOP products such as Tra Duong Hoa, Ngoc Thuy tea, San Tuyet tea, Huong Bac Son... certified as 3-star products.

In particular, Viet Tu tea, Tra Bien brand, produced according to organic processes, the essence of tea is a product introduced for trade promotion in countries in the region.

To date, Hai Ha district has nearly 20 tea products that are OCOP products. The district is also actively promoting the trade of Duong Hoa tea products to markets such as China, Japan and Middle Eastern countries to soon realize the dream of bringing this product to the world.
