Approving the National Defense and Security Knowledge Training Plan for Subject 1 in 2026

(laichau.gov.vn) Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long signed Decision No. 1861/QD-TTg approving the Plan to foster national defense and security knowledge for target 1 in 2026.

The Prime Minister approved the Plan to foster national defense and security knowledge for target 1 in 2026.

The purpose of the Plan is to continue implementing Directive No. 12-CT/TW dated May 3, 2007 of the Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over national defense and security education in the new situation; as a basis for organizing the effective implementation of training to improve national defense and security knowledge for subject 1 according to the provisions of the Law on National Defense and Security Education and Decree No. 13/2014/ND-CP dated February 25, 2014 of the Government; Decree No. 139/2020/ND-CP dated November 27, 2020 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 13/2014/ND-CP dated February 25, 2014 of the Government detailing and implementing measures for the Law on National Defense and Security Education.

Open 03 courses, each course from 50 to 70 comrades

Training content is implemented according to Circular No. 172/2020/TT-BQP dated December 30, 2020 of the Minister of National Defense promulgating the program, content; framework program for training in national defense and security knowledge.

Subjects include: Subject 1 has not received training in national defense and security knowledge;

Time: 2026.

Target: Open 03 courses, each course from 50 to 70 comrades;

Location: At the National Defense Academy.

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, central agencies, provinces and centrally run cities shall direct competent agencies to compile a list of subjects 1 of agencies, units and localities that have not been trained in national defense and security knowledge to participate in each course and report to the Central Organizing Committee (through the Department of Training and Fostering Cadres, address 2A Hoang Van Thu, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi City) and the Ministry of National Defense (through the Department of Militia and Self-Defense Forces - Standing Agency of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education, address 28A, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi City) before December 30, 2025 and promptly report when there are personnel changes.

The Ministry of National Defense develops a plan for training in national defense and security knowledge for each course, organizes the implementation of the plan; directly monitors and manages the content, programs, quality, and results of training courses; promptly proposes measures to resolve problems during the organization process; synthesizes results and reports to the Prime Minister and the Central Party Secretariat according to regulations.
