People of Bach Dich border commune received free medical examination and medicine.

On September 8 and 9, Tuyen Quang Department of Health organized a free medical examination and medicine distribution program in Bach Dich commune.

A large number of people from Bach Dich commune registered for medical examinations.

Participating in the medical examination for the people were doctors and medical staff from the following units: Ha Giang Lung Hospital, Tuyen Quang Provincial Lung Hospital, Yen Minh Regional Health Center, and Yen Minh Regional General Hospital. During the program, people received general health check-ups including: blood pressure measurement, cardiovascular examination, ultrasound, respiratory, digestive, kidney and urinary tract examinations, musculoskeletal, spinal, and ear-nose-throat examinations.

In addition, women and children received care and counseling on reproductive health and nutrition. Notably, during the examinations, doctors promptly detected 16 cases of severe tuberculosis and lung diseases, and procedures were made to refer them for treatment. After the examinations, people received free medication, instructions on its use, and advice on health care.

This is the second time this year that the program has been held free of charge in Bach Dich commune. On August 8th and 9th alone, the team provided free medical examinations and medication to 357 people; it is expected that by the end of the program, approximately 600 people in the border area will have received free medical examinations and medication.

People received examinations for ear, nose, and throat problems.

This program is a meaningful activity that concretizes the conclusions of General Secretary To Lam during his working visit to the province regarding regular health check-ups and healthcare for the people in border communes. It also demonstrates the concern of Party committees, governments at all levels, and partner organizations in caring for community health. Through this, it contributes to raising awareness about healthcare, early detection and treatment of certain diseases, and reducing the burden of medical costs for the people.
