With the desire to convey and vividly and authentically portray the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers during the resistance war against foreign invaders and in peacetime, in anticipation of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, in coordination with Vietnam Television, has launched a television series titled "Timeless".
The film intertwines the past and present, telling the story of Lieutenant Colonel Le Nguyen Dai (played by actor Manh Truong) and his comrades to portray the image of the Ho Chi Minh Army in each era as fully and authentically as possible.
While the historical narrative showcases the sacrifices and hardships of soldiers during the resistance war, driven by their determination to regain national independence, the present-day narrative portrays the image of soldiers in peacetime, embodying patriotism, courage, and a willingness to sacrifice themselves to protect the lives of citizens from natural disasters and epidemics.
The intertwining of past and present will give the audience a comprehensive view of the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and of the fine traditions of the Vietnam People's Army that have always been inherited and promoted in every stage of the cause of protecting, building, and preserving peace for the country and the nation.
At the press conference for the film's release, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Duc, Director of the Propaganda Department, General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, stated that the film "Timeless" highlights three functions of our Army: a fighting force, a working force, and a productive labor force.
He emphasized: "Compared to last year's film 'War Without Borders,' 'Time and Space' is much more expansive, reflecting the imagery more fully." soldier "a new era."
Playing the role of Lieutenant Colonel Le Nguyen Dai, Manh Truong will portray the image of an upright soldier of the People's Army in peacetime, wholeheartedly devoted to the country and its people.
"No Time" boasts an impressive investment scale.
Besides Mạnh Trường, "No Time" also features a cast of famous actors such as People's Artist Quốc Trị, People's Artist Như Quỳnh, People's Artist Trung Anh, etc.
"No Time" is also considered a large-scale production with high professional quality. The film was developed and prepared for a year by the Vietnam Television Film Production Center in collaboration with the Propaganda Department, the General Political Department, and many other military forces and units before filming began. The film recreates the Trường Sơn mountain range and battlefields, depicting bombs, medical stations, and wounded soldiers with injuries... to maximally portray the brutality of the war and the selfless spirit of those who sacrificed themselves for independence. "No Time" also depicts wartime soldiers, staging large-scale scenes of floods, landslides, helicopter rescue operations, bridge construction across rivers, and mine clearance... with settings filmed in various provinces and cities, such as Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Son La, Ninh Binh ... so that viewers can visualize the silent dedication and sacrifice of soldiers in peacetime.
People's Artist Nhu Quynh shared at the film's press conference that, upon reviewing the footage of "Timeless," she was "overwhelmed by the grand, realistic scenes of war."
Director and Meritorious Artist Nguyen Danh Dung affirmed: "I think 'Timelessness' will be a meaningful work, especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day."
