Speaking at the closing and award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Head of the Steering Committee, affirmed that the 24th Vietnam Film Festival took place in an exciting atmosphere when Ho Chi Minh City was officially recognized by UNESCO as a Global Creative City of Cinema - a prestigious title under the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

After 5 days of official organization, the 24th Vietnam Film Festival brought a special impression of the unprecedented "explosion" of many competing films, with many attractive film screening programs, many specialized professional activities, directly addressing issues and solutions to develop the "film industry"; opening up many opportunities for cooperation and investment in the field of film production and distribution, initially establishing solutions and a network providing film production services, aiming to make Vietnam a friendly destination, attracting international film crews to produce films.
“From the success of the 24th Film Festival, we have stronger hopes for more breakthrough works, extensive international cooperation programs, and most importantly, the maturity of a generation of promising young artists and filmmakers,” said comrade Ta Quang Dong.

According to comrade Ta Quang Dong, for Vietnamese cinema to make further progress, develop sustainably and integrate internationally in the "new era", it requires the joint efforts of artists, creative components, film production, dissemination and distribution enterprises, and the support of the audience, with the same goal of building a film industry - film economy ...
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the prizes.
In the most popular category - feature film, the film "Red Rain" (produced by People's Army Cinema) was awarded the Golden Lotus. The Silver Lotus was awarded to three feature films: "Tunnel - Sun in the Dark", "Death Battle in the Sky" and "Sister-in-law".

Also in the feature film category, the award for best director was given to director Ham Tran - film "Fighting in the sky"; the award for best debut feature film director went to director Thu Trang - film "Billionaire Kiss"; the award for best cinematography went to cinematographer Nguyen K'Linh - film "Tunnel - Sun in the dark"; the award for "Most favorite Vietnamese film" voted by the audience went to the film participating in the Panorama Program: film "Ghost dog".
In addition, the acting award was given to actress Phuong Anh Dao for her leading role in "Mai", Tuan Tran in the male lead role of “Abandoning Mother”. Supporting Actor Award goes to Hong Dao, Bao Dinh and Phuong Nam.
Meanwhile, in the documentary category, the Golden Lotus named two films "Awakening and Resolving" - produced by People's Army Cinema and "Heritage Soul Keeper" - produced by Vietnam Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism Cinema.
In addition to the main categories, the Organizing Committee also awarded certificates of merit from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to inspirational works at the Film Festival.

The 24th Vietnam Film Festival has demonstrated the appeal of cinema when it received special attention from audiences nationwide and people of Ho Chi Minh City, artists, filmmakers, film producers and domestic press.
According to the Organizing Committee, in 2026, Bac Ninh province will host this event.
