In Quang Son commune, 3/5 of the cultural heritages of the Nung people are listed in the national list, including: Het dang ritual (birthday celebration ritual), Cap sac ritual and sli singing. For the Nung people here, cultural heritage is not only the "soul" of the nation but also a way to unite the community. Traditional rituals such as Cap sac, sli singing or Het dang are maintained through many generations, reflecting the religious life, concepts about people, family and society.
Previously, the cultural and artistic movement of Quang Son commune had developed widely, until the establishment of the Nung ethnic folk cultural activities club with 28 members, it created a highlight for cultural preservation activities. Regularly, the club members practice singing then, sli, luon; exchange experiences and teach performance skills. The elderly artisans are the leaders, performing and explaining the meaning of each then song, each sli sentence, helping the young generation understand and love traditional culture more.
At major events such as the National Unity Day, spring festivals, and performances inside and outside the commune, the Club is always the core force. The smooth folk songs and reenacted traditional rituals have attracted a large number of people and tourists.
Many members said that the joy comes not only from singing and performing, but also from seeing traditional values preserved and widely circulated. “Every time we play the sli or the tinh, we feel like we are telling the story of our people to friends near and far,” shared Ms. Ly Thi Chao, Club Director.

| Quang Son commune determines to develop tourism associated with Nung culture. |
Realizing the value of culture, Quang Son commune is building a plan to develop community tourism associated with indigenous culture.
Mr. Khuc Kim Quang, Vice Chairman of Quang Son Commune People's Committee, said: We identify culture as a resource of Quang Son. When developing tourism, the top goal is still to preserve heritage. People have more income and are proud of preserving their own culture. Currently, the heritage of sli singing is still preserved, maintained and promoted by clubs in many forms, taught to many generations.
To implement the plan, the commune will organize activities such as: Training on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; organizing visual propaganda activities on media about the traditional cultural values of the Nung ethnic group - Mr. Khuc Kim Quang added.
This orientation is not only to preserve heritage but also to help people have more income and improve their lives. Some villages have begun piloting homestay models, services to experience traditional rituals, enjoy then, sli, introduce Nung cuisine and local agricultural products.
The commune government, in coordination with the cultural sector, is conducting surveys and compiling documents to preserve other cultural practices of the Nung people, including agricultural festivals and traditional crafts. In the future, Quang Son hopes to expand the scale of the club, organize cultural classes for students, build a space for folk performances to serve tourists, and at the same time promote communication so that the heritage continues to be spread...
