This is a project to increase the attraction of Tong Duy Tan Food Street, promote tourism, and develop the socio -economy in Hoan Kiem district.

Tong Duy Tan Food Street was put into operation in 2000, on the occasion of the 990th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi. Since then, Tong Duy Tan Food Street has gradually become an attractive tourist destination of the capital, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists.

To improve the quality of tourist services, the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District has implemented the project to renovate the Tong Duy Tan - Hang Bong Food Street. The project will renovate the infrastructure by paving the entire street, installing a modern lighting system, planting more trees, installing flower pots, and green areas to create an airy space in harmony with the urban landscape...

In addition, Hoan Kiem district also develops a culture of behavior and civilized commercial lifestyle, popularizes reminders for businesses about polite and professional service style; ensures food hygiene and safety.

New clean and traditional look of the culinary district.

Currently, 100% of households here are doing food business. In terms of aesthetics, the street is decorated with 300 lanterns exploited from the theme of folk paintings, and the new gate is designed based on the idea of ​​the image of tube houses in Hanoi's Old Quarter in the early 19th century in the paintings of famous painter Bui Xuan Phai.

In particular, the Hoan Kiem district government also installed a life-size bronze statue of a “Pho carrying man”. This is a unique highlight, introducing the beauty of Hanoi cuisine because the folk knowledge of Hanoi pho cooking has now been recorded in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
