According to the report, in the 2016-2020 period, the whole province supported the construction of more than 9,000 houses; in the 2021-2024 period, the whole province supported the construction of more than 7,000 houses for people with revolutionary contributions, poor households, near-poor households, and households affected by natural disasters and floods.
Thereby, it has significantly contributed to fundamentally improving housing conditions, helping households have conditions to "settle down and make a living", stabilize and improve the quality of life, improve access to basic social services; contribute to caring for the lives of families of people with revolutionary contributions, and sustainably reduce poverty in the area.

Responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands nationwide in 2025" launched by the Prime Minister , Yen Bai launched the movement and issued a Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with the goal of eliminating 2,208 temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 (of which 1,815 will be newly built and 393 will be repaired), striving to complete before August 30.
Thoroughly implementing the viewpoint of "leaving no one behind", with high determination and great efforts of the entire political system, business community and people of all ethnic groups in the province, after only more than 5 months of implementing the project, Yen Bai has completed the project's objectives, reaching the finish line nearly 80 days ahead of schedule.
Many localities in the province have implemented flexible and creative methods suitable to practical conditions to speed up progress and improve the effectiveness of program implementation.
Proactively guarantee that households can receive advance payment of construction materials from local agents at reasonable prices, helping people promptly, ensuring the progress and quality of the project.
Actively mobilize social resources to support housing construction outside the project's funding source; at the same time, promptly commend and reward communes with outstanding achievements, households that start and complete houses early, as well as provide additional cement support for households in difficult circumstances.

The organization and implementation of housing support is carried out systematically and flexibly according to unified procedures and processes, ensuring that it is consistent with the reality and customs of the people. Housing designs are issued in accordance with the living conditions and cultural traditions of ethnic minorities.
The criteria for determining households eligible for support are clearly defined; the work of reviewing and assessing the list of households receiving support is carried out strictly and objectively. The process, procedures and support methods are unified throughout the province, creating the most favorable conditions for people to access the policy.
Any problems that arise, especially those related to administrative procedures, land, etc., are promptly resolved by authorities at all levels. The implementation process is carried out openly and transparently; the quality of the project is strictly controlled.
The completed houses all meet the "3 hard" requirements (hard foundation, hard wall frame, hard roof), have high durability, a lifespan of 20 years or more, and meet technical and aesthetic requirements and are suitable for local conditions.

The average value for a newly built house under the project is more than 180 million VND/house (3.1 times higher than the State's support level). The average value for a repaired house under the project is 60 million VND/house (2 times higher than the State's support level).
At the conference, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 19 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the project.
