On October 16th, Ms. Tran Thi Tu Vien, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, stated that the emulation movement to jointly eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Khanh Hoa province during the 2024-2025 period has become a prominent highlight and achieved unexpected success, exceeding the central government's target by six months.

Specifically, starting in March 2025, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province jointly launched a 90-day campaign, mobilizing armed forces, organizations, and the community to provide labor and construction materials, with the motto "everyone helps with what they can, those with money help with money, those with labor help with labor".
The Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Khanh Hoa Province has taken decisive action, intensifying inspections, urging compliance, and resolving obstacles related to procedures, land, and funding. Local authorities have simultaneously implemented and closely monitored the progress and quality of the projects.

To date, Khanh Hoa province has achieved 100% of its set targets. Over 83 billion VND from the "For the Poor" Fund and provincial budget resources have been allocated to eliminate more than 2,970 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. Not only were these projects completed quickly, but they also met the "three solid" criteria (solid foundation, solid wall frame, solid roof), with a minimum area of 32m², suitable to the customs, traditions, and living needs of the people.
"The movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a concrete action, but also a symbol of solidarity, sharing, and the political determination of Khanh Hoa province in caring for social welfare, ensuring real effectiveness and real benefits for the people, and especially ensuring that no one is left behind," Ms. Vien said.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, during the period 2020-2025, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province has mobilized and received more than 170 billion VND. From this fund, the locality has allocated and supported the construction and repair of over 4,000 solidarity houses, and implemented many practical activities to care for the lives of the people.
