TPO - In the 2024-2025 period, Khanh Hoa province "eliminated" nearly 3,000 temporary and dilapidated houses with a total cost of 83 billion VND, 6 months ahead of the schedule set by the Central Government.

On October 16, Ms. Tran Thi Tu Vien - Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Khanh Hoa province, said: In the period of 2024-2025, the emulation movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Khanh Hoa province has become a prominent highlight and a success beyond expectations, exceeding the Central's schedule by 6 months.

Specifically, from March 2025, the People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province coordinated to launch a 90-day and night campaign, mobilizing armed forces, organizations, and the community to support working days and construction materials, with the motto "whoever has something helps, whoever has money helps money, whoever has merit helps merit".

The Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Khanh Hoa Province has taken drastic measures, increased inspection, supervision, and removed obstacles regarding procedures, land, and funding. Localities have simultaneously deployed and closely monitored the progress and quality of the projects.

In the 2024-2025 period, Khanh Hoa will eliminate more than 2,970 temporary and dilapidated houses.

Up to now, the whole Khanh Hoa province has completed 100% of the set target, more than 83 billion VND from the "For the Poor" Fund and the provincial budget have been allocated, eliminating more than 2,970 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. Not only fast, the projects also ensure the "3 hard" criteria (hard foundation, hard wall frame, hard roof), minimum area of ​​32m², suitable for customs, habits and living needs of the people.

“The movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a concrete action, but also a symbol of solidarity, sharing and political determination of Khanh Hoa province in taking care of social security, ensuring real effectiveness and real benefits for the people, and especially not leaving anyone behind,” said Ms. Vien.

The Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province said that in the period of 2020-2025, the "For the Poor" Fund at all levels in the province mobilized and received more than 170 billion VND. From this fund, the locality has allocated and supported the construction and repair of over 4,000 Great Solidarity houses, and implemented many practical activities to care for people's lives.
