Dong Thai Commune (merged from Dong Thai Commune, Nam Thai A Commune, Nam Thai Commune). The Commune Party Committee has 53 branches and affiliated Party Committees with 1,190 Party members.
After the merger, Dong Thai commune has 89 cadres and civil servants. The commune is arranged with working headquarters in 2 places 12km apart. Specifically: The working headquarters of the Party, the Front, and mass organizations are arranged at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Nam Thai A commune (old); the headquarters of the State block is located at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Dong Thai commune.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Lam Minh Thanh suggested that the commune Party Committees need to develop plans from now until the end of the year. In the process of leadership, direction and operation, it is necessary to closely follow the Party's regulations and laws, but also need to be flexible and adjust the regulations to suit local realities.
In the coming time, the Party Committees of communes need to study and clearly identify the potential and strengths of the locality to promote the targets and resolutions of the Party Congress; maintain solidarity and unity within the organization, avoid the ideology of "your house, my house", but consider this as "a common house", decisions must be made through collective discussion and debate.
