Bong Son Ward was established on the basis of merging Bong Son Ward and Hoai Duc Ward of the former Hoai Nhon Town. The Ward has a natural area of 81.11 km², a population of over 41,000 people. The Ward Party Committee has 47 Party organizations and 1,672 Party members.

According to the report of the Party Committee of Bong Son Ward, from July 1, the administrative apparatus of the People's Council and People's Committee was arranged, consolidated and put into stable operation. During the initial period of operating the 2-level local government model, the system operated smoothly, the headquarters system and facilities were received, handed over, managed and put into use promptly, without interruption.
The ward's Public Administration Service Center is fully equipped with machinery and working equipment for civil servants and arranges necessary means to support people, organizations and businesses in submitting documents online.
From July 1 to now, the Center has received 59 applications; processed and returned results for 21 applications, 32 applications are within the processing time limit according to regulations and 6 applications have been guided to ensure compliance with requirements.
At the meeting, the Party Committee of Bong Son Ward proposed and recommended that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee add Bong Son Ward to the key areas of the province or the northern region of the province to fully promote the potential, advantages and development space of the locality. Pay attention to supplementing the staffing for the Party bloc, in order to meet the requirements of the Party building task; pay attention to considering and promptly issuing a detailed outline, along with orientations on key targets and tasks to help the locality build a draft Political Report of the Ward Party Congress for the term 2025-2030 to ensure quality...
Concluding the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Truong Van Dat highly appreciated the results achieved after 9 days of operating the new administrative apparatus in the locality. Comrade Truong Van Dat emphasized that it was thanks to the solidarity, proactiveness and flexibility of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front of the ward that helped the new apparatus operate smoothly, promptly resolving administrative procedures for people and businesses.
Comrade Truong Van Dat requested the leaders of Bong Son ward to quickly overcome shortcomings, limitations and inadequacies so that the operation of local government can operate effectively and efficiently, especially not to delay the administrative records of individuals, organizations and businesses.
He noted the locality's proposals and recommendations to promptly report to the Provincial Party Standing Committee for solutions.
Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, comrade Truong Van Dat suggested that the Ward Party Committee focus on leading and directing the drafting of political reports to be submitted to the 1st Bong Son Ward Party Congress (term 2025-2030) on the basis of clearly identifying the potentials, socio -economic advantages, and the locality's space; at the same time, prepare to organize the Ward Party Congress on time as prescribed.
