BTO-On the afternoon of January 24, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Van Dang chaired a field survey of Song Binh Industrial Park (IP) and Song Binh Superfine Zircon Grinding Plant in Bac Binh district.
Also attending were representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments, units and localities: Binh Thuan Industrial Park Management Board, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Planning and Investment, People's Committee of Bac Binh district...
Here, representatives of relevant parties reported on the progress of infrastructure investment, the work of attracting secondary projects to Song Binh Industrial Park as well as the operation of Song Binh Superfine Zircon Grinding Plant. Accordingly, Song Binh is an industrial park with special characteristics specializing in processing titanium minerals with an area of 300 hectares, which started construction at the end of 2013.
Up to now, Song Binh Industrial Park has completed site clearance and infrastructure construction, currently attracting 3 secondary investment projects, of which 1 project is participating in production and business. That is the Song Binh Superfine Zircon Grinding Plant of Song Binh Mineral Joint Stock Company, which was put into operation in 2020, contributing to creating jobs for more than 150 workers.
At the meeting, the relevant departments and agencies also participated in the discussion and gave their opinions on related issues as well as recommendations and proposals from the Song Binh Industrial Park Management Board and the Song Binh Superfine Zircon Grinding Plant. Such as procedures for granting licenses for mineral exploration and handling titanium raw materials, upgrading and expanding National Highway 28B to create conditions to attract more secondary projects to the Song Binh Industrial Park, supporting the promotion of calling for investors, etc.
In his concluding remarks, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Van Dang said that Song Binh Industrial Park has basically met the conditions to promote and attract secondary investors. However, it is necessary to continue to complete the items, especially the connecting road system and ensure the supply of electricity and water for production and business activities, thereby promoting project attraction to increase the occupancy rate of the industrial park in the coming time.
Regarding some recommendations on traffic connectivity, the provincial People's Committee leader informed that the upgrading and expansion of National Highway 28B in Binh Thuan is about to be implemented, and the province is also orienting to invest in a specialized port to effectively exploit mineral resources. In addition, it also supports and will support the promotion of investment in Song Binh Industrial Park with projects specializing in titanium processing to increase product value, because this is a rare source of raw materials in the locality. Regarding the licensing of mining exploration, the provincial People's Committee leader assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to review and forecast the ability to ensure raw materials for deep processing of titanium to have a basis for proposing to competent authorities for consideration and resolution...
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, Vice Chairman Phan Van Dang also presented gifts from the Provincial People's Committee to the Management Board of Song Binh Industrial Park, Song Binh Superfine Zircon Grinding Plant and wished the units a new year of new victories and increasingly effective operations.
