(gialai.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 5, the working delegation of the Naval Region 3 Command led by Colonel Pham Anh Tuan, Commander of the Region, visited and paid a courtesy visit to the leaders of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee. Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee received and worked with the delegation.

At the meeting, Colonel Pham Anh Tuan - Commander of Naval Region 3 respectfully thanked the thoughtful and warm reception of the leaders of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and congratulated the province on achieving many initial positive results in the process of implementing the two-level local government model.

The Commander of Naval Region 3 emphasized that the Naval Region 3 Command has the task of managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands spread across the Central provinces. In order to successfully complete the assigned tasks, in addition to the efforts and struggles of the officers and soldiers of the entire Region, they always receive the attention, help and support of the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Lai province. On behalf of the Naval Region 3 Command, Colonel Pham Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the province, along with the departments, branches, sectors and local authorities for their help and support so that the officers and soldiers of the Region can successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Colonel Pham Anh Tuan expressed his hope that in the coming time, the Naval Region 3 Command will continue to receive attention and support from the government and people of Gia Lai province. This will contribute to strengthening solidarity, enhancing coordination and information sharing, creating a foundation to promote socio -economic development and national defense of the locality. At the same time, the Colonel also wished Gia Lai province to complete and exceed the set socio-economic targets.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh said that after the merger, the new Gia Lai province will become a new growth pole with many development opportunities, possessing more potential and strengths than before. The Government has approved the policy of building the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway, expected to start construction in October 2025. Convenient traffic connection between the West and the East will be an important premise for the development of industrial parks and logistics services in the Gia Lai Tay area.

With fertile land potential, large natural area, suitable for growing industrial crops and fruit trees, Gia Lai province will focus on developing the western region into a high-tech agricultural area, deep processing to export agricultural products. In addition, the potential of renewable energy, including wind power and hydropower, will be a strength to promote the rapid and sustainable development of the western region in the coming time.

Regarding the Gia Lai Dong area, comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh also said that on August 9, the province will start construction of the Industrial Park in Phu My. Phase 2 of the project will include the construction of a deep-water port, capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 250 tons, which will be a big boost, helping Gia Lai province develop even more strongly in the future.

Regarding the direction and management of the fight against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, Deputy Cu Thich, Standing Member of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the important role of the Naval Region 3 Command in coordinating with the province to propagate and mobilize people and control the number of boats entering and leaving. Comrade Nguyen Tuan Thanh requested that the Naval Region 3 Command continue to strengthen the mobilization of people not to exploit aquatic and marine products illegally; at the same time, it is necessary to plan and manage fishing resources to regenerate aquatic and marine resources under the sea to avoid depletion.
