BAC NINH - On the morning of August 26, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Pham Van Thinh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired a working session with Dragonberry Produce Company (USA) to promote cooperation and prepare conditions for exporting Bac Ninh lychees to the North American market from the 2026 harvest.

Also attending the meeting were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, a number of relevant provincial and local departments and branches.

Here, representatives of Dragonberry Produce Company reported the results of lychee export to the North American market in 2025; at the same time, proposed investment cooperation plans and plans to expand the lychee market for export from 2026 and the following years.

In July 2025, Dragonberry Produce Company - one of the leading importers of high-end agricultural products in the US continued to implement a campaign to distribute Bac Ninh lychees in the US market through major supermarket chains such as Safeway. Also during this time, for the first time, Vietnamese lychees were on the shelves of the largest retail supermarket chain in the US - Costco.

At the meeting, representatives of provincial departments and branches quickly informed about the production situation of lychee crop in 2025. Accordingly, in 2025, Bac Ninh province will have 29.7 thousand hectares, including 8 thousand hectares of early-ripening lychee and 21.7 thousand hectares of main-season lychee. The production area according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards increased. Lychee output was more than 205 thousand tons, a sharp increase compared to the previous year. Consumption was strongly promoted. In the last crop, Bac Ninh lychee was exported to demanding markets such as Europe and the United States; sold at large supermarket chains such as Safeway, Costco, Selgros, Rungis Market, etc.

Also here, delegates exchanged and discussed the introduction of other agricultural products suitable for canning; mechanisms and preferential investment policies for agricultural processing factories located inside or outside industrial parks and industrial clusters...

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Pham Van Thinh emphasized: Bac Ninh province always welcomes, supports and commits to supporting businesses to learn about the environment and investment and business opportunities in the province. He requested relevant departments and branches to closely coordinate and support Dragonberry Produce Company in surveying, completing procedural documents, and at the same time building lychee material areas that meet VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, along with managing growing area codes to meet the requirements of the North American market.
