Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang visited and worked at a number of cooperatives.

On the afternoon of August 5, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee visited and inspected the production and business activities at a number of cooperatives in the province, including: Vinh Phuoc Export Handicraft Cooperative (Ninh Hoa Ward); Van Thang Agarwood Cooperative (Van Thang Commune).

Currently, Vinh Phuoc Handicraft Export Cooperative creates stable jobs for more than 1,000 local workers. In the period of 2022 - 2024, the Cooperative achieved a revenue of more than 184 billion VND, a profit of more than 4.5 billion VND; total assets by the end of 2024 were nearly 40 billion VND. In 2025, the Cooperative faced many difficulties, mainly due to the decline in purchasing power from international markets, export orders were delayed due to increasing tax rates of importing countries. The land lease contract of the Cooperative's main production area with an area of 12,200m² in Ninh Hoa ward expired at the end of 2024. Applying to continue leasing land here is facing many difficulties, mainly due to the short lease term (maximum 24 months). The Cooperative proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider allowing the Cooperative to re-lease land for a term of 10 years or more.

Van Thang Agarwood Cooperative was established in 2019, specializing in the production and trading of agarwood products; at the same time, it also plays a role in maintaining and developing the agarwood craft village in Phu Hoi 1 village (Van Thang commune). The craft village has a long history of experience and unique beliefs about agarwood for hundreds of years, with about 400 households working in the profession. In recent years, the State has paid attention to investing in the agarwood exhibition and processing area, recognizing it as a place with potential for community tourism . At the meeting, the Cooperative proposed that the province consider allocating land funds to diversify service types to improve operational efficiency and further promote the value of Van Thang agarwood craft village.

After discussing with representatives of relevant departments, sectors and localities, comrade Trinh Minh Hoang assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to synthesize the recommendations of the two cooperatives and advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve. He requested the cooperatives to continue to make efforts and develop more markets, including orienting the development of products serving the tourism market in the province.

Leaders of the Provincial Cooperative Union presented support to 2 cooperatives.

On the same afternoon, the Provincial Cooperative Union organized a fund awarding ceremony to support the construction of 2 cooperative models to develop production and business associated with the value chain in 2025 in Van Ninh commune, including: Awarding 90 million VND to support yellowfin pompano fry to Van Phong Aquaculture and Tourism Cooperative and 84 million VND to Van Phu 3 General Agricultural Business Cooperative to equip plows for agricultural production.
