The Vietnam U23 team is training at Ba Ria Stadium (HCMC), completing the final steps before finalizing the list to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.

Today (July 8), Vice President of VFF Tran Anh Tu represented the Vietnam Football Federation to visit the entire team. According to the assignment of VFF, Mr. Tran Anh Tu will be the head of the delegation of the Vietnam U23 team participating in the Southeast Asian tournament.
The tournament will take place from July 15 to July 29 in Jakarta and Bekasi (Indonesia). The U23 Vietnam team is in Group B with Cambodia and Laos. The group stage of the U23 Vietnam team will take place in Bekasi. If they reach the semi-finals and finals, coach Kim Sang Sik's team will compete in Jakarta.

The Vietnam U23 team currently has 28 players. It is expected that in a few days, Coach Kim Sang Sik will eliminate 5 players, finalizing the list down to 23 players, then depart for the archipelago country.
As for VFF Vice President Tran Anh Tu, he was the head of the Vietnamese team when coach Kim Sang Sik's team won the 2024 AFF Cup.
