NDO - On the afternoon of December 2, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province had a meeting with voters in Quy Nhon city (Binh Dinh province) to announce the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly and the results of responding to voters' petitions.


At the conference, Comrade Ly Tiet Hanh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh Province, informed voters about the important contents of the 8th Session. In particular, the National Assembly reviewed and discussed reports on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the implementation of the state budget in 2024, highly appreciating the direction, administration and implementation of the Government, Prime Minister, ministries, branches and localities.

Thereby praising the efforts of the business community and people of all walks of life who have basically completed the socio-economic development tasks in 2024; expected to achieve and exceed 14/15 main targets set out in Resolution 03/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly.

Comrade Ly Tiet Hanh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province reported at the conference.

The National Assembly has approved the 2025 state budget estimate with a deficit equivalent to 3.8% of GDP, allowing the use of 5% of the 2024 regular expenditure reduction and savings to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households and support other localities.

At the same time, the National Assembly passed many important resolutions such as the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period, the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project; the establishment of Hue City under the Central Government and a 2% reduction in value-added tax on goods and services.

During this session, the National Assembly passed 18 laws and 4 resolutions on legal norms, demonstrating the spirit of innovation, decentralization, delegation of power and removing bottlenecks and obstacles in practice.

2025 is identified as a year of strong growth with 15 targets and 12 main groups of tasks and solutions. The tasks focus on maintaining macroeconomic stability, perfecting the law, restructuring industries and sectors, accelerating the progress of strategic infrastructure projects and improving the investment and business environment.

Voters of Binh Dinh province made a number of proposals and recommendations at the conference.

Voters in the province highly appreciated the results of the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, and at the same time recommended the National Assembly, the Government, and central and local authorities to consider and resolve a number of issues such as: managing issues related to gold, foreign exchange and finance, and taking measures to stabilize gold prices to protect consumer rights. Non-cash digital transformation requires support for small and medium-sized enterprises; policies to support workers affected by the merger of administrative units.

In particular, many delegates said that there needs to be more improvements and stability in education policies, especially the examination program, extra teaching and learning, etc.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of voters in the province. Thereby, he answered and clarified a number of opinions and recommendations related to gold management; affirmed that the Government will absorb and carefully review the content, and continue to provide specific instructions. At the same time, he clarified a number of opinions and recommendations on issues related to salary regimes, social insurance, and health insurance for non-professional cadres at the grassroots level...

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that all voters' opinions have been conveyed by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to the National Assembly, the Government, and central agencies for consideration and resolution according to regulations.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of voters in the province.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that in the coming years, the National Assembly aims to increase GDP growth by about 8%, bringing Vietnam's economic scale into the world's top 20 in terms of trade and top 10 in terms of GDP. In particular, focusing on investment in developing transport infrastructure such as highways, the North-South railway and Long Thanh airport are top priorities.

Along with that is a commitment to completely eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households by 2025 using socialized capital and the state budget.

Assessing the results achieved in 2024 and proposing important goals and solutions to promote socio-economic development and enhance Vietnam's position in the 2025-2030 period, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said that restructuring the Government apparatus and political system is considered a radical "revolution" to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in managing and operating the development goals and orientations for the 2025-2030 period.
