Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested localities to urgently evacuate people from flood-prone areas to safe places before dark, including using helicopters if weather permits. Because tonight, flood levels in some rivers in the area are forecast to be higher than the historical level in 1993. Currently, many people are in need of relief.
By noon on November 19, most of the communes and wards in the northeast of Dak Lak province were deeply flooded. The Dak Lak Provincial Military Command said: relief work encountered many difficulties in adverse weather conditions. Some places lacked vehicles, while others with vehicles could not access the flooded areas.
The total number of flooded households is still unknown because many areas have lost contact. The Ba River Hydropower Plant discharged over 10,000 m3/s of floodwater at 10 a.m. this morning.

Currently, Military Region 5 is sending more vehicles and forces to the eastern part of Dak Lak province to support the evacuation of people. It was noted that in the early afternoon of November 19, National Highway 1 and all remaining national highways in the province were cut off, so the rescue work is facing many difficulties.
