Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh inspects the two-level government model in Dong Thap

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of October 17, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and the Government delegation inspected the Public Administration Service Center of Dao Thanh Ward; inspected the construction progress of the Trade Union Institution Construction Project at My Tho Industrial Park, Trung An Industrial Cluster, Dong Thap Province.

Checking the construction progress of the Trade Union Institution Construction Project at My Tho Industrial Park, Trung An Industrial Cluster, Dong Thap Province; the working delegation listened to the Trade Union Project Management Board under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (project investor) report on the project progress.

Accordingly, the Project is invested with trade union financial capital on a land area of ​​about 3 hectares in Trung An ward, Dong Thap province, including two phases: Phase 1 has completed investment and put into use from May 2024 with cultural and sports items including multi-purpose house, outdoor sports field, trees and technical infrastructure system on a land area of ​​about 1.14 hectares.

Phase 2 is invested according to Housing Law No. 27/2023/QH15 with an area of ​​about 1.9 hectares with main items including 4 8-storey residential blocks with elevators, construction area of ​​5,645 m2; total floor area of ​​38,460 m2 with 526 apartments for rent, including 76 apartments of 32 m2, 450 apartments of 48 m2, all apartments are self-contained, invested with basic interior equipment and facilities (such as beds, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets...) and 2 2-storey garages with a construction area of ​​600 m2, total floor area of ​​1,200 m2. The construction density of the residential area is 29.6%. Phase 2 started construction on July 26, 2025.

Up to now, the project is ensuring progress and quality according to regulations.

Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh welcomed the construction units for closely following the progress, and at the same time requested the investor to coordinate with the construction units to speed up the progress, working in 3 shifts but ensuring quality, labor safety, and environmental sanitation; to soon put the project into use, contributing to realizing the dream of "settling down" of workers and laborers in Dong Thap province.

Next, the Deputy Prime Minister inspected the Public Administration Service Center of Dao Thanh Ward and worked with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Dao Thanh Ward (Dong Thap Province). Also attending the meeting was Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang.

Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of Dao Thanh ward in overcoming difficulties in operating the two-level local government after the merger.

Many initial results have been recorded such as: The work of arranging and assigning commune-level cadres has been basically completed, the number of online applications is increasing, the settlement of policies for cadres leaving according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP is guaranteed...

The Deputy Prime Minister requested the authorities at all levels of Dong Thap province to lead and direct to achieve the socio-economic development targets in 2025. Continue to improve the staff of civil servants, especially in the fields of land, construction, trade and services... Focus on handling difficulties and problems.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the shift from passive to proactive state, actively serving people and businesses, creating new development space, new momentum, new driving force in national development, ensuring smooth, effective, efficient operations, without work interruption.

*) Also on the afternoon of October 17, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh visited Tri Son Trading and Service Company Limited, Dao Thanh Ward, Dong Thap Province, a company with many products processed from bird's nests that have been recognized by the province as achieving 4-star OCOP.
