Mountainous parents join hands to prepare for the opening ceremony

On September 3, speaking to reporters, Ms. Hoang Thi Lan - Vice Principal in charge of Mai Son Kindergarten (Tuong Duong district, Nghe An ) said that the school is urgently preparing for the opening ceremony, welcoming children to school on the morning of September 5.

“Not only did the teachers participate in the work, but many parents also volunteered to help the school clean up and prepare for the opening ceremony. Everyone was very enthusiastic and eager, joining hands with the teachers to have a neat and best opening ceremony for the children,” said Ms. Hoang Thi Lan.

After summer vacation, the school garden and playground area for children are degraded, dirty, and overgrown with weeds.

People used available tools, actively cleaned, arranged, and washed to make it neat and clean.

"The school is very grateful to the parents who did not mind the day off and joined hands to help the teachers prepare for the opening ceremony" - Ms. Hoang Thi Lan emotionally shared.

Mai Son Kindergarten is located in a border commune, a remote, isolated, and particularly disadvantaged area of Tuong Duong district. The school has 19 staff members, teachers, and employees.

There are currently 202 students, most of whom are Hmong. Many schools have more than 90% of students from poor or near-poor households, and life is very difficult.

Despite many difficulties, in the 2023 - 2024 school year, the school achieved the title of Advanced Laborer; 4 cadres and teachers achieved the title of Emulation Fighter at the district level; 4 cadres and teachers were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the District People's Committee, 100% of cadres and teachers achieved the title of Advanced Laborer.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuong Duong District Dinh Hong Vinh shared: "Mai Son Kindergarten is located in a particularly difficult border area. In that situation, the school always considers students as the central character; the cadres, teachers and staff are wholeheartedly devoted, love the students, overcome difficulties to complete their tasks, and give all the best to the students. Therefore, the students are diligent, good at studying, make progress, and are trusted and helped by management levels and the people."
