In October 2025, the Women's Union of Le Chan Ward commenced construction of a "House of Love" for Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Loan, born in 1965, a female member with particularly difficult circumstances, residing at Alley 52, Mieu Hai Xa, Residential Group 41.

Previously, in July 2025, the Women's Union of An Bien Ward inaugurated a "House of Love" for Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Van, a female member in difficult circumstances, residing at alley 30, Tran Nguyen Han Street. Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, President of the An Bien Ward Women's Union, stated that the Union considers each house built as a shared source of happiness, built from the compassion and support of the entire community, helping members overcome difficulties and providing them with motivation to strive for a better life.

In addition to focusing on building homes, the Women's Union at all levels also dedicates special care to orphans and children in difficult circumstances through the "Godmother" program launched by the Vietnam Women's Union in October 2021.

In Duong An commune, the Women's Union, in coordination with several Buddhist monks and local authorities, has sponsored two children, Vu Duc Hai, born in 2014, from Phu Khe village, and Le Thi Ngoc Diep, born in 2014, from Mo Trach village. Each child will receive 500,000 VND per month for three years.

During the period 2021-2025, the Women's Union at all levels in Hai Phong city affirmed its pivotal role in social welfare work. From models like "Shelter of Love" and "Godmother" programs to livelihood support programs, Hai Phong women spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing, making practical contributions to the city's sustainable poverty reduction goals.

Diverse forms of support

Recognizing that supporting women's economic development is a sustainable solution for social welfare, the Women's Union at all levels in the city proactively and actively supports its members in accessing preferential loan capital for production and business, gradually escaping poverty and confidently taking control of their lives.

By mid-2025, the total outstanding loan balance managed by the Association at all levels will reach 6,530 billion VND, supporting more than 122,800 loan applications from households; helping more than 49,500 poor and near-poor households develop their economy, of which 1,909 poor and near-poor households will escape poverty.

From 2021 to the present, the Women's Union at all levels in Hai Phong city has sponsored 2,068 orphans and provided care and support to 2,000 disadvantaged children, with a total expenditure of over 31.5 billion VND, becoming a shining example of humanitarian and charitable work by women in Hai Phong.

According to Pham Thi Thuy Hai, Vice President of the City Women's Union, social welfare work has always been a key task of all levels of the Union. All efforts are directed towards the goal of ensuring that all women and children receive attention and support for comprehensive development, contributing to the city's social welfare efforts.
