Hai Phong women spread the spirit of charity and sharing

In October 2025, the Women's Union of Le Chan Ward started building a "Warm House of Love" for Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Loan, born in 1965, a women's union member with especially difficult circumstances in lane 52 Mieu Hai Xa, Residential Group 41.

Previously, in July 2025, the Women's Union of An Bien Ward inaugurated the "Warm House of Love" house for Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Van, a female member with difficult circumstances, in lane 30, Tran Nguyen Han Street. Chairwoman of the Women's Union of An Bien Ward, Nguyen Thi Hanh, said that the Union considers each house built as a common happiness, built from the kindness and companionship of the whole community, helping members overcome difficulties and have the motivation to rise up.

Not only focusing on building shelters, the Women's Union at all levels also pays special attention to orphans and children in difficult circumstances through the "Godmother" program launched by the Vietnam Women's Union since October 2021.

In Duong An commune, the Commune Women's Union coordinated with many monks and local authorities to sponsor two children, Vu Duc Hai, born in 2014, in Phu Khe village, and Le Thi Ngoc Diep, born in 2014, in Mo Trach village. Each child received support of 500,000 VND/month for 3 years.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Women's Union at all levels of Hai Phong city affirmed its core role in social security work. From the models of "Shelter of Love", "Godmother" to livelihood support programs, Hai Phong women spread the spirit of solidarity, sharing, making practical contributions to the city's sustainable poverty reduction goal.

Various forms of support

Identifying that supporting women in economic development is the solution to sustainable social security, the City Women's Union at all levels proactively and actively supports members in accessing preferential loans for production and business, gradually escaping poverty, and confidently taking control of their lives.

By mid-2025, the total outstanding loan balance managed by the Association at all levels will reach VND 6,530 billion, supporting more than 122,800 households to borrow; helping more than 49,500 poor and near-poor households develop their economy, of which 1,909 poor and near-poor households will escape poverty and near-poverty.

From 2021 to present, the City Women's Union at all levels has sponsored 2,068 orphans, cared for and shared with 2,000 disadvantaged children, with a total cost of more than 31.5 billion VND, becoming a bright spot in the humanitarian and charitable work of Hai Phong women.

Vice President of the City Women's Union Pham Thi Thuy Hai said that social security work is always the core task of the Union at all levels. All are aimed at the goal of all women and children being cared for and supported for comprehensive development, contributing to the city's social security work.
