This flight marks the official launch of Philippine Airlines' direct flight connecting Manila - Da Nang from July 1.
According to the plan, Philippine Airlines will operate 3 flights/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and is expected to increase to 4 flights/week from November 2025.
The airline uses Airbus A321 aircraft with 199 seats (including 12 business class seats).
The welcoming program for the first flight of Philippine Airlines was solemnly held at the international arrivals area of Da Nang International Airport, with the participation of leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, representatives of Philippine Airlines and other units.

“Philippine Airlines’ launch of flights to Da Nang took place on the first day of Da Nang City’s (new) official operation with expanded geographical space and tourism product and service ecosystem,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City.

According to Ms. An, Da Nang continues to diversify international markets, including markets near Southeast Asia, through many promotion and advertising programs.
Special attention is paid to attracting airlines to open more routes to the city.
The Philippine Airlines route in Da Nang put into operation this time has increased the total number of flights from Manila to Da Nang to 12 flights/week, contributing to the exchange of passengers between the two urban centers of the two countries.
According to statistics from the General Statistics Office, in 2024, the total number of Filipino visitors to Da Nang will reach more than 65,000.
In the first 5 months of 2025, the total number of Filipino visitors to Da Nang reached more than 49,000, an increase of 2.26 times over the same period in 2024.
Philippine Airlines is the national airline of the Philippines. Its fleet of Boeing, Airbus and De Havilland aircraft operates direct flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao to 31 domestic destinations and 38 international destinations in Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East.
Currently, Philippine Airlines operates a total of 24 direct flights per week from Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the Philippines.
