Binh Dinh Ward strives to have no more poor households by the end of the 2025-2030 term.

(GLO)- On the morning of August 13, the Party Committee of Binh Dinh Ward (Gia Lai Province) solemnly held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 200 delegates representing 1,679 Party members of 49 Party cells and affiliated Party Committees. Binh Dinh Ward strives to have no poor households by the end of 2030.

Attending the Congress on the Central side were comrade Nguyen Ngoc Dung - Deputy Head of Department 2, Central Organizing Committee. On the Gia Lai province side were comrades: Mai Viet Trung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organizing Committee; Le Binh Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Inspection Committee.

The political report presented at the Congress said that Binh Dinh ward was established on the basis of merging 3 administrative units: Binh Dinh ward (old), Nhon Khanh commune, and Nhon Phuc commune.

After 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the Ward Party Congress, the local Party Committee, government and people have strived to achieve 21/21 targets set out in the Resolution. The average annual economic growth rate of the ward reached 16.82% (target increased from 12-16%); growth in product value reached 8.2%. The economic structure shifted in the right direction.

Attention has been paid to investment in construction and upgrading of technical and social infrastructure in a synchronous manner; the appearance of urban and rural areas has increasingly improved. Culture and society have made many advances, social security has been ensured, and the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved.

National defense and security were strengthened, social order and safety were maintained. Party building and political system building achieved good results, democracy was promoted, and the great national unity bloc was strengthened.

In the 2025-2030 term, Binh Dinh ward aims to achieve a total product value growth rate of 12%/year. Export turnover reaches 244 million USD. Total budget revenue by 2030 reaches 259 billion VND. The rate of public investment disbursement reaches 100%. Revenue from retail sales of goods and services reaches 41,772 billion VND. Average income per capita is 1.2 times higher than the national average. The rate of population participating in health insurance reaches 98%; multidimensional poverty is 0%. Every year, the number of new party members admitted is 3% or more compared to the total number of party members at the beginning of the term; over 90% of grassroots party organizations and 90% of party members complete their tasks well or better.

Speaking at the Congress, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee Mai Viet Trung highly appreciated the results achieved by the Binh Dinh Ward Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee suggested that the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee in the coming term should pay attention to strengthening the building of a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics; ensuring unity in will and action. Promote the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Continuously improve the sense of responsibility, knowledge, capacity, leadership and management skills for the contingent of cadres and party members, first of all the heads of Party committees, authorities and Party committee members.

In addition, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Party Committee reviewed the development potential; exploited the local potential and strengths to the fullest, carefully calculated the socio-economic development goals and targets with the highest spirit of striving. Proposed feasible solutions to effectively implement 3 breakthroughs: strongly developing trade and services, creating growth momentum; effectively mobilizing resources to invest in synchronous technical and social infrastructure; promoting comprehensive digital transformation, building civilized urban areas.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Inspection Committee, Chairman, Deputy Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Binh Dinh Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Dao Xuan Huy was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Ward Party Committee.
