Information from Hoang Liet ward said that among the victims of the boat capsize in Quang Ninh , there were 4 victims in one family, with permanent residence in an apartment building in Hoang Liet ward. Specifically, Mr. HVT (born in 1985) and his wife, Ms. D.TP (born in 1987) and their children HMT (born in 2020), HNM (born in 2015).
Authorities have rescued HNM; HVT is currently missing; the bodies of Ms. D.TP and HMT have been found. The family has taken HNM to the National Children's Hospital for further treatment and completed the procedures to bring Ms. D.TP and HMT back to their hometown for burial.
On the same day, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and schools in Hoang Liet ward visited and encouraged the victim's family in their hometown.
Expressing condolences to the victim's family, Chairman of Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee Nguyen Anh Tuan said that this was an unexpected and unfortunate natural disaster. He hoped that the family would try to suppress their grief to take care of the funeral of their loved ones, search for missing relatives, and especially take care of and encourage HNM to overcome this great pain and loss.
Also on July 20, Hoang Liet Ward sent a working group led by Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Chief of Office of Hoang Liet Ward People's Committee Bui Thi Thu Thuy to Quang Ninh to coordinate with the family and functional forces to search for Mr. HVT, who is currently missing and has not been found.
* Information from Hoang Liet ward said that in the storm with heavy rain and strong winds on the afternoon of July 19, in the ward, 2 cars were damaged by fallen trees; 2 schools had some plastic roofs blown off; 25 trees were broken.
The ward has directed the functional forces to proactively handle broken trees and incidents to ensure road traffic safety and the North-South railway line passing through the area, ensuring absolute safety for the people.
The forces continue to be on duty 24/24 hours; focus on repairing damage at schools; at the same time, update and regularly monitor the developments of storm No. 3 and the weather situation to promptly respond to complicated developments when heavy rain occurs.
