Accordingly, the Vietnam Road Administration directed the inspection, review, and arrangement of forces, vehicles, and spare materials on key national highways; and was ready to close roads, divert traffic, and ensure traffic safety in the event of flooding or landslides.
The Vietnam Railway Authority is required to increase patrols of routes, bridges, tunnels, and steep mountain passes; prepare vehicles and equipment to promptly handle incidents, and be ready to adjust train schedules when necessary.
The Maritime and Inland Waterways Administration coordinates with localities to strictly control the activities of vessels, resolutely not allowing fishermen and vehicles to operate in dangerous areas; and provide guidance on safe anchoring in storm shelters.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam directed airlines to closely monitor the situation, adjust flight schedules, and ensure absolute safety for passengers.
The Ministry of Construction also requested the Department of Construction of localities in the area affected by Storm No. 9 to urgently inspect and review areas at risk of flooding and landslides; proactively plan to trim trees, protect construction works under construction, and arrange forces on duty 24/7 to promptly handle arising situations.
