A sinkhole has appeared on provincial road DT743A.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Huy, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Dong Hiep Ward (Ho Chi Minh City), as of the afternoon of November 8th, relevant units are urgently working to fix the "sinkhole" on DT743A road.

Previously, a sinkhole more than 2 meters deep appeared on provincial road DT743A in Tan Dong Hiep ward.

The sinkhole is about 1 meter long and over 2 meters deep, with the asphalt layer having fallen into it. Next to the sinkhole is a drainage ditch. The sinkhole appeared right in front of the traffic lights, causing difficulties for many vehicles passing through the area.

The road surface in the area where the sinkhole appeared has recently been repaired and repaved. Residents and authorities have placed branches and warning signs in front of the sinkhole.

According to the Chairman of the Tan Dong Hiep Ward People's Committee, the initial cause of the sinkhole's appearance was determined to be that this section of road had previously been dug up by a construction unit to lay drainage pipes. In recent days, due to heavy rain, the ground subsided, causing the incident.
