Since the merger and official operation of the 2-level local government model, Tran Phu ward has continued to have strong steps of socio -economic development. The potentials and advantages of the suburban area have been effectively exploited, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people. The Ward Fatherland Front Committee, Ha Tinh Newspaper, Radio and Television and philanthropists organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a charity house for Ms. Tran Thi Ly.

Recently, through the appeal and mobilization of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, Ha Tinh Newspaper, Radio and Television and benefactors have started to build a charity house for Mrs. Tran Thi Ly, residing in Thanh Tien Residential Group with a total budget of 120 million VND. Mrs. Ly is in a very difficult situation when despite her declining health, she still has to take care of her bedridden father-in-law and her mentally ill husband. The whole family has to live in an old house that has seriously deteriorated after two storms.

Unable to hide her emotions on the groundbreaking day, Ms. Ly confided: “Daily life is already difficult, so even though the house is dilapidated, repairing it is something I never dared to think about. Now, with the mobilization of the Party Committee, the ward government, the connection and appeal of Ha Tinh Newspaper and Radio and Television to support the house construction, I am extremely grateful. When the house is completed, my family will no longer have to worry when storms come.”

Leaders of Tran Phu ward presented gifts to households in difficult circumstances and damaged by storms.

Another difficult situation that has just been effectively supported by the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Tran Phu ward is the family of Ms. Hoang Thi Toan (Minh Yen residential group). Her husband unfortunately passed away in an accident, she has to raise 5 children, and now she has a mental illness, making her life extremely difficult. Faced with that situation, Tran Phu ward has called for resources to support Ms. Toan's family with over 50 million VND and mobilized the Thien Tam Fund of Vingroup to support the family with 2 million VND per month.

Mr. Truong Ba Khanh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Tran Phu Ward emphasized that since Tran Phu Ward was established and operated the 2-level local government model, the locality has paid great attention to supporting the poor and disadvantaged people through practical social security programs. Up to now, the ward has mobilized resources and allocated funds to build 6 charity houses with a value of over 100 million VND and mobilized additional support of working days from mass organizations and neighbors.

Tran Phu Ward mobilized resources to support households affected by storms and floods.

In addition, the ward also presented over 500 gifts to disadvantaged households, poor households, and households affected by storms No. 5 and No. 10; supported schools and medical stations to overcome and repair damage caused by storms with a total cost of over 1.3 billion VND. These activities contributed to creating a clear change in poverty reduction work, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and community responsibility of the entire political system, and at the same time adding motivation for households to strive to improve their lives.

In addition to housing support and relief gifts, Tran Phu ward pays special attention to solutions for long-term livelihood development for people. From social mobilization sources, the ward has awarded 16 chicken farming livelihood models, each model includes 50 chickens. At the same time, assigned organizations to take charge and provide guidance on initial care techniques. This is considered one of the effective directions to create stable income, helping poor households and households in difficult circumstances have conditions to develop the economy and proactively strive to escape poverty sustainably.

Give livelihood models to people.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Anh - Chairman of the Ward Veterans Association said: "The Association was assigned to support and guide 4 livelihood models. With the care of the households, up to now, the number of supported chickens has grown very well, and will be sold this Tet. The important thing is that through the livelihood support, it has encouraged the spirit, creating great motivation for households in economic development in the coming time."

According to Mr. Truong Ba Khanh - Chairman of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee, one of the key tasks that the locality is aiming for from now until the end of the year is to actively mobilize resources, call on organizations, businesses and the community to join hands to take care of Tet for poor and disadvantaged households, ensuring that no family is lacking during the traditional Tet holiday. The locality aims to build 2-3 more charity houses to support poor households with especially difficult housing circumstances. This is an important foundation for the locality to continue to effectively implement the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, contributing to building an increasingly civilized, rich and humane ward.
