PSG earns more money from European Super Cup

UEFA awarded PSG a worthy reward after winning the European Super Cup in the early morning of August 14.

Tottenham led PSG 2-0 until the 84th minute but were held to a 2-2 draw, before losing 3-4 in the European Super Cup penalty shootout at the Bluenergy Stadium in Italy. The win earned PSG €5 million in bonuses, including €4 million for participating in the match and €1 million for winning the match.

The French champions had a historic season, winning their fifth title. According to L'Equipe , PSG earned 184 million euros in prize money from winning the Champions League alone. Despite finishing second at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, the team also earned nearly 100 million euros in prize money.

However, the above figure is not the final bonus for PSG, because the team also won the Ligue 1 title and the French Cup. If considered equivalent to the bonus for the Ligue 1 champion in the 2023/24 season, PSG could receive 60 million euros.

PSG have the chance to earn a lot more money in the 2025/26 season thanks to their participation in the Champions League qualifying round. Each team is guaranteed to earn nearly 20 million euros for being named in this round. Each qualifying round victory will help PSG pocket 2.5 million euros.

UEFA will distribute a total prize fund worth more than €2.7 billion to clubs participating in next season's Champions League. This is an increase of 21% compared to last season.
