PTSC Quang Ngai delivers 800 tons of equipment to power plant in Ireland
A shipment of more than 800 tons of Bypass Exhaust System equipment has boarded the M/V Alanis, at berth No. 1 of PTSC Dung Quat Port, to begin its journey to the Republic of Ireland.
It is known that this contract for manufacturing the Bypass Exhaust System serves the Castlelost FlexGen gas turbine thermal power plant built in County Westmeath, Ireland, with an expected capacity of 275 MW, including 5 units using SGT-800 gas turbines.
Upon completion, Castlelost FlexGen is expected to be a power plant capable of providing a comprehensive range of electricity capacity levels along with grid ancillary services, as well as supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy .

The successful handover of more than 800 tons of Bypass Exhaust System equipment by PTSC Quang Ngai to begin the journey to Ireland for installation, ensuring the schedule committed to the customer, is a proud achievement from the continuous efforts of the Company's staff after more than 10 months of focusing on the detailed design, procurement, manufacturing, packaging and acceptance of goods.
Over the years, PTSC Quang Ngai has accumulated a lot of experience and capacity through the completion of hundreds of projects with tens of thousands of tons of similar equipment including: Inlet transition duct, elbow duct, silencer, stack, support structure, ... for many gas power plants around the world.
However, PTSC Quang Ngai still faced many challenges when implementing this project with a volume of more than 800 tons for 5 units, manufactured according to European standards EN-1090, complying with strict requirements from input materials according to CE marking for the European market.

Recognizing the above challenges, immediately after receiving the contract from September 2023, PTSC Quang Ngai focused on planning, assessing and developing risk management plans, developing strict construction and quality control measures, as well as closely monitoring the implementation, promptly handling any issues that may affect the project, ensuring that the manufactured equipment components fully meet the requirements.
The successful completion and handover of this Contract once again affirms the capacity of PTSC Quang Ngai in the field of providing mechanical product processing and manufacturing services for export, thereby opening up many new opportunities for cooperation between the partner EGL Group (Australia) and PTSC Quang Ngai in many subsequent projects in the regional and international markets.
