Le Chan District: The 13th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dong Hai Ward, term 2024 - 2029

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of March 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Hai Ward, Le Chan District held the 13th Congress of Vietnam Fatherland Front Delegates of the Ward, term 2024 - 2029. Attending the Congress were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the District; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the Ward; Heads of branches, unions, Party Cell Secretaries, Heads of Residential Groups in the ward.

In the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has united into a unified, concentric, and coordinated bloc with the government to successfully, comprehensively, and excellently complete socio -economic, defense - security tasks; together with member organizations, actively and proactively launched patriotic emulation movements and campaigns to attract the participation of a large number of people from all walks of life. Coordinated with the Ward People's Committee to mobilize people to contribute more than 1 billion VND to repair and upgrade 62 alleys and lanes; installed more than 50 security cameras, mobilized people in the alleys to continue to install additional lighting and plant trees to contribute to ensuring bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe alleys. Coordinated with the Ward Police to build a model of "Reforming and educating wrongdoers at home and in the community" to mobilize the strength of the entire population to participate in preventing, detecting, and denouncing crimes. Fire prevention and fighting work has been actively deployed, coordinated to mobilize 9/9 residential groups to have "Public fire fighting points", 2 "Fire prevention and fighting safety inter-family groups", basically all households are equipped with fire extinguishers at home.

From 2019 to present, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward has supported the cost of repairing and building 7 new "Great Unity" houses for near-poor households and households in difficult circumstances worth over 430 million VND; regularly supporting 2 lonely elderly households in especially difficult circumstances with an amount of 25 million VND. Many practical activities have contributed to reducing 17 poor households in the ward. Since 2019, the ward has had no more poor households and now there are only 12 near-poor households. In particular, in 2019, it coordinated to mobilize households in the area to support the cost of building an infirmary on Sinh Ton Island in Truong Sa archipelago with an amount of more than 114 million VND.

In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward continues to promote propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of people from all walks of life, promoting the strength of great national unity, building and defending the Fatherland; mobilizing people to compete in creative labor, successfully implementing the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security of the locality; promoting democracy, participating in Party and government building; supervising and providing social criticism; preventing and combating corruption, waste, practicing thrift; strengthening international solidarity, expanding people's foreign affairs activities; strengthening the organization, innovating content and methods, improving the effectiveness of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's operations, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

The Congress also consulted and elected official and alternate delegates to attend the 17th District Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
