In the past, seeing strange lands, exploring the world around or finding information about attractive destinations to experience with family was very difficult for many people. But now, with the development of information technology, using social networks as a means of connection has become an inevitable trend. Currently, there are many popular social networking sites, such as: Facebook, Zalo, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube... becoming popular, allowing organizations and individuals to share, update, exchange information, communicate, connect with friends, family, community, expand relationships, integrate internationally quickly and effectively. With just a few searches on social networking sites, you can find a lot of information, images, and videos that are very vivid and realistic about tourist destinations all over the country and abroad. Through social networks, tourists are also free to learn and listen to feedback from other tourists' experiences to understand the tourist attractions or quickly find suitable locations to schedule their experiences. Ms. Le Thi Thanh Phuong (Phu Tan district) shared: "During my busy work time, I cannot travel, but through social networks, I can learn more about impressive tourist destinations using my computer or phone anytime, anywhere. Based on useful tourist information, when I have free time, I will go to these places to experience them in real life."

In addition to being easy to find, thanks to the speed of social media, attractive tourist destinations are shared very quickly. Especially thanks to the feature that users love on social networking sites is check-in, a form of young people using images to mark that they have been to this place, promoting tourism is easier and has a huge effect. Just one tourist destination, cuisine posted by a tourist on Facebook, Zalo, Twitter, Instagram... will attract hundreds to thousands of likes, comments and shares. Some attractive tourist destinations in An Giang have been covered on social networks recently, such as: Ta Pa Lake, heart-shaped palm tree (Tri Ton district), O Tuc Sa stream (Tinh Bien town), lonely phoenix tree in Mong Mo Hill (Thoai Son district), eco-garden tourist areas... Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong, a tourist from Ha Tinh, said: "My family just had a short trip. I went to impressive check-in spots, thanks to looking at the beautiful pictures and videos posted on social networks by previous visitors. The trip was really interesting and yielded many beautiful pictures. When posting pictures on social networks, my friends and relatives in my hometown after seeing them also really wanted to come to An Giang to experience it."

In addition to personal accounts posting impressive check-in photos, many backpackers and travel companies have set up travel groups to share a lot of information, instructions, and experiences about backpacking trips, check-in spots, beautiful scenery, and convenient ways to travel to tourist attractions and entertainment spots. With many articles and beautiful images posted regularly introducing food, beautiful attractions, and travel tours, these pages also introduce many hotels, homestays, beautiful cafes, delicious restaurants, newly opened restaurants, and introduce hometown specialties. All the information on social networks for tourists can be a travel guide to prepare for impressive check-in trips with friends and relatives. Mr. Le Dinh Duy (tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “During the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays, my group of friends and I had a 3-day, 2-night trip to explore An Giang. Because we wanted to experience it, we traveled independently. To prepare for the trip, I joined and followed groups sharing travel information on social networks to learn about accommodation, specialties, means of transportation, and famous tourist attractions in An Giang, such as: Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, Cam Mountain, Ta Pa Lake... and attractive dishes, such as: Chicken on fire, fruit-chuc beef porridge, wild vegetable pancakes...".

Social networks are channels for promoting, introducing and advertising tourism quickly, widely and attracting the attention of a large number of tourists. Therefore, in the coming time, in addition to the active and proactive participation of all levels, sectors, units and tourism businesses, when each social network user posts beautiful images of tourist attractions, impressive check-in points, and attractive dishes in An Giang, it will contribute to introducing and promoting the image and information about tourist attractions, the beauty of culture and people of An Giang to domestic and foreign tourists.
