Quang Ninh verifies assets and income of 60 officials

On March 4, information from the Quang Ninh Provincial Inspectorate said that this unit had just drawn lots to select 60 officials to verify assets and income under its authority, according to the 2024 plan.

Quang Ninh selects 60 officials from 11 agencies and units to verify assets and income according to their authority.

Accordingly, the total number of people subject to the lottery for verification of 11 agencies, units and localities is 330 people from the Department of Finance, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Education and Training, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ethnic Minorities Committee, Provincial Investment Promotion and Support Committee, Ha Long Bay Management Board, Vietnam - Sweden Uong Bi Hospital, Mong Cai City People's Committee, Quang Ninh Eastern Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd., Tien Yen Quang Ninh Forestry One Member Co., Ltd.

In the presence of representatives of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, the Quang Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and agencies and units whose assets and incomes were verified, the Quang Ninh Provincial Inspectorate conducted a draw for each agency and unit.

The random draw results selected 60/330 people according to the asset and income verification plan.

Selection of officers whose assets and income are verified is based on random draw results.

The drawing is organized on the basis of implementing Decree No. 130/2020/ND-CP of the Government on controlling assets and income of people holding positions and powers in agencies, organizations and units; Decision No. 56-QD/TW of the Politburo on promulgating regulations on coordination between agencies controlling assets and income; Plan No. 06/KH-TTr dated January 30, 2024 of the Chief Inspector of Quang Ninh province on verifying assets and income in 2024, whose content has been approved by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province.

The purpose of verifying assets and income is carried out according to the Government Inspectorate's direction on verifying assets and income in 2024. In particular, the focus of verifying assets and income of officials and civil servants is concentrated in sensitive fields, stages, and jobs that are prone to negative corruption; officials and civil servants working in the fields of land management, environmental resources, planning, budget finance, capital management, state assets, education, health, etc.
