Quang Tri: Bollywood film crew comes to shoot scenes in majestic caves

On July 30, at Dong Hoi Airport, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province organized a reception and presented flowers to congratulate members of the film crew from Bollywood and India who came to Quang Tri to film the film SILAA.

This is the first Indian film to be filmed in the majestic and unique caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang and attractive tourist destinations of Quang Tri such as Tu Lan, Tien Cave, Tan Hoa, Dong Hoi, aiming to bring impressive and attractive footage, deeply imprinting the image of Vietnam and Quang Tri tourist destinations to hundreds of millions of viewers around the world.

The film is made by a leading team from Bollywood cinema: producer Rahul Bali, main director Omung Kumar and brings together a famous cast, with the participation of Harshvardhan Rane and Sadia Khateeb in the lead roles.

The film is an action-romance film, telling an innocent love story, intertwining the pain of revenge with many breathtaking details and eye-catching scenes. The film is expected to be released globally in 2026.

In Quang Tri province, the crew will film scenes in Son Doong, Phong Nha, Tan Hoa, Tu Lan, and Hang Tien caves from August 1-14; then continue filming in many other locations in Vietnam such as Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the reception ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province Dang Dong Ha emphasized that the selection of Son Doong and other tourist attractions in the World Natural Heritage Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park as film settings not only has significance in terms of national and provincial image but also opens up great opportunities to promote tourism communications for the entire region.

This is a favorable opportunity for Quang Tri to build and connect tourism products associated with cinema, nature, and indigenous culture; at the same time, through the film to promote the image of Quang Tri tourism to audiences around the world, contributing to promoting the growth of Indian tourists to Quang Tri in the coming time.

Producer Rahul Bali said he was very impressed by the majestic beauty of the cave, nature and the friendliness of the people of Quang Tri; highly appreciated the cooperation, coordination and support of units in the province and assessed the production of the film as an effort to introduce the beauty of Vietnam and Quang Tri to the world through Indian-Bollywood cinema.

SILAA Film Project is a film produced and managed by Rahul Bali, CEO of Innovations India, India, a well-known producer in the Bollywood film industry. One of the main objectives of this film is to promote tourism in India and Vietnam. The total budget for the film is about 4 million USD.
