On July 31, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee announced that it has planned to organize the Quintessence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea Festival, scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 2 in the coastal city of Quy Nhon.
With the theme “Aspiration for the blue sea - Shining great forest”, the festival has many special activities such as the Central Highlands coffee and gong culture festival; culinary festival “delicious dishes from basalt land and the sea”; reception and performance of cutting and filleting ocean tuna; martial arts performance; performance of gongs and Central Highlands ethnic musical instruments...

Regarding the venue, Nguyen Tat Thanh Square will be the place for the opening ceremony, the light festival and the Central Highlands coffee and gong cultural festival. Children's Park will be the space for the culinary festival associated with the OCOP product display area and traditional craft villages.
The street festival is held on Xuan Dieu Street and the central streets of Quy Nhon.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, the festival "The Quintessence of the Great Forest - The Blue Sea Convergence" aims to promote the strengths and potentials, contributing to the preservation and promotion of the quintessential values of the land and local people.
This is also an important event to attract tourists to Quy Nhon beach, contributing to the development of the night-time economy, the marine economy, stimulating tourism and culinary services. In particular, ocean tuna will be introduced with diverse processing styles, suitable for the taste of international tourists.
The event is also an opportunity to promote the legendary basalt land with its Central Highlands cultural identity, along with typical agricultural products such as coffee - the local staple agricultural product.
The festival also honors fishermen, inspires them to stay at sea, and contributes to the sustainable development of the fisheries industry of the province and the whole country.
