On November 5, the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province announced that it had issued an official dispatch allowing students in 58 communes and wards in the eastern part of the province to stay home from school from the afternoon of November 5 until the end of November 7 to prevent storm Kalmaegi.
Schools in 77 communes and wards in the West need to proactively let students stay home if the rain, flood, and storm situation becomes complicated.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Gia Lai province, storm Kalmaegi is approaching land and is likely to directly affect the eastern region of the province in the coming days.
Schools need to closely monitor weather conditions to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and staff. At the same time, units need to reinforce classrooms and be ready to support local authorities in using the facilities as evacuation sites.
In Khanh Hoa , on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, signed an official dispatch directing the Department of Education and Training to let students in the entire province take a day off on November 6 and 7, or longer if the rain and floods persist.
Schools need to review and strengthen their facilities, especially those in remote areas at risk of landslides and flooding. Educational facilities in the area need to move records, equipment, and desks to a safe place.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Education and Training also directed units to develop appropriate compensatory study plans to ensure the completion of the 2025-2026 school year program according to regulations.
