The National Assembly held its second session and passed many important policies.

On the morning of June 19, the National Assembly began the second session of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly . During the 6 working days of the final week of meetings, the National Assembly will continue to discuss and pass many important draft laws and resolutions.

The draft laws that continue to be discussed in the National Assembly include: Law on Housing (amended); Law on Real Estate Business (amended); Law on Forces Participating in Protecting Security and Order at the Grassroots Level; Law on Water Resources (amended); Law on Land (amended); Law on Telecommunications (amended); Law on Citizen Identification (amended); Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones.

After each discussion session in the hall, Government members representing the law drafting agency will explain and clarify the opinions of National Assembly deputies.

In the second session, the National Assembly will vote to pass 8 draft laws, including: Law on Prices (amended); Law on Cooperatives (amended); Law on Civil Defense; Law on Consumer Rights Protection (amended); Law on Electronic Transactions (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security; Law on Bidding (amended);

Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.

Also in the last working week, the Resolutions to be passed by the National Assembly include: Resolution on approving the 2021 State budget settlement; Resolution on deciding on the investment policy for the traffic project from National Highway 27C to Provincial Road DT.656 in Khanh Hoa province - connecting with Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan;

Resolution on assigning the list and capital level for tasks and projects under the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program; assigning, adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan of the central budget for the period 2021-2025 and allocating the central budget investment plan for 2023 of the national target program.

Resolution on the establishment of the National Assembly's Thematic Supervision Delegation in 2024; Resolution on taking a vote of confidence and voting for people holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly and People's Councils (amended); Resolution on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City;

Resolution on questioning and answering questions; Resolution on the results of thematic supervision of "mobilization, management and use of resources for Covid-19 prevention and control; implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health care and preventive medicine"... will also be voted on by National Assembly deputies.

At the same time, the National Assembly considered and approved the Resolution of the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly. In particular, it stipulates the adjustment of the investment policy for the Ka Pet Reservoir Project in Ham Thuan Nam District, Binh Thuan Province; the continued implementation of the 2% value-added tax reduction policy according to Resolution No. 43 of the National Assembly and the investment policy to supplement the charter capital for the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to the agenda, the National Assembly will hold its closing session on June 24 .
