An exhibition showcasing socio -economic achievements to commemorate the 80th anniversary of National Day will be held within the framework of the National Exhibition taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center in Co Loa commune, Dong Anh district, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The exhibition content includes: Introducing and showcasing the outstanding achievements of the country in 80 years of construction and development in various fields, especially key areas such as: industry and technology; investment and trade; agriculture and rural areas; security and defense; foreign affairs; health and education; culture, sports, and tourism.
At the same time, it introduces Vietnamese culture - the country and its people - with a 4,000-year-old cultural tradition; the rich and diverse culture of 54 ethnic groups; the abundance of resources and products from the three regions; and outstanding architectural works, both past and present, throughout the country.
This is an opportunity to promote and introduce the capital city and the country to the people of Vietnam and international friends, providing them with more comprehensive information about the country in relation to other nations around the world.
The exhibition of socio-economic achievements, themed "80 Years of Independence, Freedom, and Happiness," is the largest exhibition ever held, recreating the great achievements and immortal legends of Vietnam's nation-building and defense history, guided through an experiential journey imbued with profound messages.
Exhibition of large-format lacquer paintings "Spring of Independence"
The exhibition will showcase 20 large-scale paintings, including some measuring nearly 20 square meters, in the "Spring of Independence" exhibition by young artist Chu Nhat Quang.
The exhibition will take place at the Ho Chi Minh Museum (Hanoi) from August 10, 2025 to September 10, 2025.

The "Spring of Independence" space is like a journey through significant events, where each architectural form embodies the distinctive beauty of its region within the overall unity of national culture. These elements are interwoven and harmoniously blended with human figures, reminding us of historical events.
The highlight of this exhibition space is the double-sided lacquer paintings "Uncle Ho Reading the Declaration of Independence," measuring nearly 8 meters in length and 3 meters in width, and "North and South Unification," measuring 5 meters in length and 4 meters in width. Each painting weighs 2 to 3 tons and has two sides depicting the same theme.

Besides exhibitions and displays, Hanoi also organizes many unique art programs to meet the entertainment needs of the capital's residents and tourists.
A highlight is the art performance program with the theme "The Voice of the Homeland Resounds Forever" on August 16, 2025 (Saturday) at the Lac Long Quan Flower Garden area, West Lake.
In addition, locals and tourists can admire a hydraulic drone show at West Lake during the "Light Concert" program, starting from August 9, 2025.

Every weekend from August 15th to August 31st, 2025, a light mapping art program will take place at several historical sites and pedestrian areas around Hoan Kiem Lake and its vicinity (the Grand Opera House, Turtle Tower - Hoan Kiem Lake, the historical site of 48 Hang Ngang Street, Dong Xuan Market, Dien Hong Flower Garden).
In addition, a visual arts performance program will also be held on weekends from August 8, 2025 to September 3, 2025 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel historical site.
In addition, Hanoi organized many art programs and film screenings for the general public, and installed LED screens for people to watch the commemorative activities.
