Proposal for Vietravel Airlines to cooperate with Bhutan Airlines to open new flight routes
In particular, in the aviation sector, with the advantage of T&T Group owning Vietravel Airlines, businessman Do Quang Hien proposed to the King of Bhutan to open a direct flight between Bhutan and Vietnam through cooperation with Bhutan Airlines. Opening a direct flight not only promotes tourism and freight transport, but also contributes significantly to the development of trade and cultural exchange between the people of the two countries in particular; between Bhutan and the Southeast Asian region in general.
In addition, to promote the potential of spiritual tourism, T&T Group is investing in developing key transport infrastructure such as the Quang Tri Airport project, in conjunction with Vietravel Airlines to exploit unique tourism products. This will be an important foundation for the two sides to enhance cultural and religious exchanges and expand cooperation in spiritual tourism.

At the meeting, King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan expressed his pleasure at visiting T&T Group in particular and Vietnam in general on the occasion of the country's important events. King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck also shared his vision for the development of Awakened City - a new urban project that Bhutan is implementing. With its large scale, requiring many key infrastructure items such as an international airport, train stations, and a great demand for construction materials and equipment, Bhutan wishes to strengthen cooperation, seek more resources and international experience to ensure efficiency and sustainability.

Bhutan is currently known as the only country in the world to achieve net zero emissions, taking green development as a pillar in its development strategy. Vietnam currently has a Law on Digital Technology Industry; and is preparing legal procedures to deploy digital asset exchanges.

The State visit to Vietnam by King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen is an important event in the relationship between the two countries, demonstrating Bhutan's respect for the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as Vietnam's role and position in the region; at the same time, it is a clear demonstration of Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification of relations with other countries, for peace, cooperation and development.
Vietnam and Bhutan have enjoyed good friendship since establishing diplomatic relations on January 19, 2012. Vietnam always attaches importance to its relationship with Bhutan, considering Bhutan one of the leading countries in implementing green growth goals and maintaining "happiness" indicators. Meanwhile, Bhutan always considers Vietnam one of the priority countries to promote bilateral relations as well as wishes to learn from Vietnam's development experience.
