Leaders of ministries and branches have oriented the planning of Mang Den Tourist Area to become a national and international tourism, resort and cultural center, capable of competing with other countries in the region.
On June 4, the working group of the Ministry of Construction and other ministries and branches had a working session with the People's Committee of Kon Tum province to survey and assess the actual area for the master plan for the construction of Mang Den Tourist Area (Kon Plong District, Kon Tum) until 2045.

The delegation included representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and related units. After 2 days of field surveys, representatives of central ministries and branches analyzed and assessed the current status and orientation of land use, population, urban and rural areas, tourism services, natural landscapes and technical infrastructure of Mang Den Tourist Area. At the same time, they proposed a vision and development strategy for Mang Den Tourist Area until 2045. Leaders of central ministries, branches and Kon Tum province have oriented the planning of Mang Den Tourist Area to have a development structure in the direction of "Two development corridors - Three centers - Four urban areas". From there, Mang Den will be developed into a national and international tourism, resort and cultural center, capable of competing with countries in the region. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sam, Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee, emphasized the need to establish a planning to create a legal basis for the management and development of Mang Den Tourist Area, turning Mang Den into an attractive destination of the province with typical tourism products associated with natural landscapes, biodiversity and traditional culture. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of life of people in the region.
In 2024, Mang Den Tourist Area is expected to welcome 1.2 million tourists (H.KON PLONG)
Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van, Deputy Minister of Construction , agreed with the proposals and comments on the content of the master plan for Mang Den Tourist Area of the ministries and branches. At the same time, the Deputy Minister also requested the People's Committee of Kon Tum province and the consulting unit to study and fully absorb the comments and suggestions. Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van suggested supplementing and adjusting the content to be consistent with the provincial planning and related planning approved by competent authorities; coordinate with related ministries and branches to promptly complete the dossier to submit to the Appraisal Council, then submit to the Prime Minister for consideration and approval.- Not only possessing a cool, pleasant temperature, Mang Den also wears a wild natural picture with majestic and mysterious beauty for tourists to explore. In 2023, there were 1 million tourists visiting and traveling at Mang Den Eco-tourism Area. It is expected that in 2024, this place will welcome 1.2 million visitors to visit and relax, achieving revenue of 240 billion VND. Currently, Mang Den Eco-tourism Area has 105 accommodation establishments, meeting the demand of welcoming 5,000 visitors a day and night. To develop the accommodation system, local authorities have been encouraging the construction of homestays in community tourism villages.
