Determined to innovate and build a strong Tay Ho Trade Union from the grassroots

HNP - On the morning of October 14, Tay Ho Ward Trade Union held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. This is an important political event, marking a new step of maturity for the workers' movement and grassroots trade union activities, contributing to concretizing the policy of building a strong trade union organization from the grassroots.

The Congress has the task of assessing the situation of workers, civil servants and laborers in the area, determining the goals, targets, directions, tasks and solutions for trade union activities for the 2025-2030 term; contributing opinions to the documents of the City Trade Union Congress and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; and at the same time appointing the Executive Committee, the Inspection Committee and key positions of the Ward Trade Union, Term I.

Tay Ho Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 2072/QD-LĐLĐ dated September 23, 2025 of the Hanoi City Labor Federation. Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee promptly developed a work program, assigned specific tasks, and focused on carefully preparing the conditions for organizing the Congress to ensure compliance with the prescribed procedures, content, and progress.

Currently, Tay Ho Ward Union has 118 grassroots unions with 7,542 union members, belonging to administrative - career sectors, schools and enterprises. Along with the socio -economic development of the ward and the capital, the team of workers, civil servants and laborers is constantly growing, with solid professional qualifications, dynamism and creativity; material and spiritual life is improved; jobs and income are stable. In particular, there are no strikes or work stoppages in the ward, and occupational safety and hygiene work is carried out seriously.

During the 2025-2030 term, Tay Ho Ward Trade Union determined the general goal to innovate and improve the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing union members and workers to join the Trade Union organization; innovate the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of the digital transformation period; perform well the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; build a team of professional union officials with good qualities and capacity, effectively applying digital technology .

The Congress discussed enthusiastically and frankly, agreeing on 3 breakthroughs, 6 targets and 6 groups of tasks and key solutions in the new term.

Speaking at the Congress, Secretary of the Tay Ho Ward Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Tay Ho Ward Trade Union in recent times.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khuyen affirmed: The trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers of Tay Ho ward have many advantages when inheriting the tradition and achievements of 30 years of construction and development of Tay Ho district (old), the unit has achieved many consecutive years of high achievements in the emulation movement of the Capital Trade Union.

Promoting that advantage, Tay Ho Ward Trade Union quickly stabilized its organization, proactively deployed its tasks under the leadership of the Ward Party Committee and the superior Trade Union, initially achieving many remarkable results, creating a positive mark in the local political and social life. Notably, in just a short time since its establishment, the Provisional Trade Union Executive Committee has demonstrated a proactive, responsible and creative spirit in its direction and management. The Executive Committee promptly completed its organization, issued operating regulations, effectively established information channels, connected with the grassroots Trade Union, and at the same time advised many important and practical contents for the Ward Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Agreeing with the general goals, 6 targets, 3 breakthroughs and key tasks and solutions of the term discussed and resolved by the Congress, Secretary of the Tay Ho Ward Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Khuyen also requested the Ward Trade Union Executive Committee to be a pioneer in innovation, promote the tradition of solidarity, intelligence and creativity, worthy of being a strong political and social organization in the grassroots political system of the ward, a solid support and truly a common home for union members and workers in the ward.

The ward union needs to resolutely carry out digital transformation, making the most of the advantages of digital technology to improve operational efficiency. Through the digital platform, strengthen social consensus, thereby promptly advising the Party Committee, coordinating with the government to resolve arising issues, and maintaining stability from the grassroots level.

At the same time, do a good job of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions and paying special attention to introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, training and admission, actively contributing to the work of Party building and building a clean and strong government.

After a period of working with the spirit of solidarity, urgency, seriousness, responsibility and efficiency, the 1st Congress of Tay Ho Ward Trade Union, term 2025-2030, completed all the contents and programs set out and was a great success.

At the Congress, delegates heard the announcement of the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of the Tay Ho Ward Trade Union for the first time, term 2025-2030 and the Decision to appoint official delegates to attend the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the Executive Committee of Tay Ho Ward Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term consists of 15 comrades, comrade Pham Thi Hai Yen was appointed as the Union President; comrade Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh as the Ward Trade Union Vice President. Comrades Pham Thi Hai Yen and Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh are official delegates attending the 18th Congress of Hanoi City Trade Union, term 2025-2030.
