Launching the first book on rare skin diseases in Vietnam

On the occasion of International Rare Disease Day, on the afternoon of February 29, in Hanoi , the Central Dermatology Hospital launched the book "Rare Skin Diseases" by People's Physician - Prof. Dr. Tran Hau Khang. This is the first book on rare skin diseases in Vietnam.

The book collects and presents nearly 50 rare skin diseases, including 6 chapters, of which, chapters 1 and 2 talk about Anatomy, Skin Physiology and General information about rare diseases. The following chapters 3, 4, 5, 6 talk about rare skin diseases according to each group of causes: Neurological disorders, genetics, infections and the last group is rare skin diseases of unknown cause.

The book “Rare Skin Diseases” is the entire knowledge and valuable experience that Prof. Dr. Tran Hau Khang has accumulated through more than 40 years of working: Theoretical knowledge, comprehensive medical evidence and clinical observations described from the practice of rare diseases discovered in Vietnam as well as in the world ; is a valuable and valuable medical document in the field of Dermatology not only in Vietnam, but also in the world . This is also a very valuable book for medical students, dermatologists and practicing physicians.

According to Dr. Nguyen Huong Giang - Mayo Clinic Hospital, Minnesota, USA - the book is the summary of decades of experience in caring for thousands of patients of Prof. Tran Hau Khang. There are mysterious cases that you may never encounter. You will learn how to listen to the patient, because that is the beginning of the greatest lessons in medicine.

Prof. Dr. Tran Hau Khang is a leading expert in Dermatology in Vietnam and Asia, currently a senior lecturer at Hanoi Medical University.

He has held the following positions: Director of the Central Dermatology Hospital, Head of the Dermatology Department of Hanoi Medical University, President of the Vietnam Dermatology Association, Vice President of the Asian Dermatology Association. He was also a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Western Pacific region, and participated with international experts in compiling guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of some common skin diseases in the region.

He was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Journal of Dermatology and editor of two International Journals of Dermatology and Laser. He is currently a Fellow at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the United Kingdom./.

Before launching the book "Rare Skin Diseases", Professor Tran Hau Khang published 20 professional books as author, editor/co-editor, one of which was published abroad (in English).
