Launching new tourism product using Vietnam - China passport

On the morning of April 29, at Huu Nghi international border gate, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province and the People's Government of Bang Tuong town, Guangxi (China) co-organized the announcement ceremony of a 2-day, 1-night tour program for tourists using a passport to enter and exit between the two localities.

The event was held to concretize the contents of the Joint Communiqué of the 2025 Spring Meeting Program between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang , Quang Ninh provinces (Vietnam) and the Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China); the Joint Working Committee Conferences to promote cross-border tourism cooperation between Lang Son province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Mr. Nguyen Dang An, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, said that in recent times, the friendly cooperation relationship between Lang Son province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) has increasingly developed in depth, comprehensively and substantially. On that basis, the tourism sectors of both sides have had many coordination, exchange and promotion activities to connect routes, improve service quality and increase the number of tourists crossing the border between the two sides.

The 2-day, 1-night travel program with a passport for Vietnamese tourists to travel to Pingxiang, Guangxi (China) and Chinese tourists to travel to Lang Son province (Vietnam) is a breakthrough between the two governments of Lang Son province (Vietnam) and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China). This activity not only creates favorable conditions for tourists from both sides to visit and experience culture, cuisine, and scenic spots, but also contributes to strengthening friendship, people-to-people exchange, promoting socio -economic development, especially the service, trade and tourism sectors in border areas.

"Lang Son will continue to make efforts and closely coordinate with Chinese partners to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of cross-border tourism activities, creating a premise to further promote the development of service tourism, contributing to the common prosperity of both sides," the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son province emphasized.

According to Mr. Vu Hieu Huy, Secretary of the Pingxiang Municipal Party Committee, Guangxi (China), this is a success in the close and synchronous coordination between the functional agencies of the two sides, the companionship of the tourism business community and the support of the authorities and people of the two localities. In the coming time, Pingxiang Municipality of China will closely coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lang Son and related units to strengthen the connection of tourism policies of the two countries, promoting the cross-border tourism cooperation zone of Pingxiang (China) - Van Lang (Lang Son, Vietnam).

The travel program using passports is not only a new tourism product but also a symbol of friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and China; at the same time, it is also a strategic step to effectively exploit the potential of border tourism, contributing to the socio-economic development of Lang Son province.
