Ronaldo is the top scorer in the history of the FIFA Club World Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to assert his position as the number one goalscorer in history. He is currently the top scorer of the FIFA Club World Cup with a total of 7 goals. CR7 only participated in the Club World Cup for MU and Real Madrid despite playing for 5 different clubs in his career.

The Portuguese superstar scored his first goal against Gamba Osaka in 2008 on his way to helping MU win the World Cup. Then, during his peak period with Real Madrid, Ronaldo continued to explode and won the Golden Ball of the tournament in 2016.

Right behind Ronaldo is Gareth Bale with 6 goals. The former Welsh star played a major role in Real Madrid's 4 Club World Cup titles from 2014 to 2018. Bale scored the winning goal against San Lorenzo in the 2014 final and won the Golden Ball of the tournament in 2018.

Karim Benzema, another former Real teammate of Ronaldo's, has also scored six goals in the competition. He is the first player to score in four different Club World Cups, most recently for Al-Ittihad in 2023.

Messi scored 5 goals in the FIFA Club World Cup while playing for Barca.

Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Cesar Delgado all scored five goals. Suarez impressed with five goals in just two games in 2015, including a hat-trick in the semi-finals and a brace in the final.

Messi has participated in the Club World Cup three times with Barcelona. The Argentine superstar scored five goals in five matches and won the Golden Ball twice in the tournament. He will have the opportunity to improve his achievements and surpass Ronaldo when he participates in the tournament with Inter Miami this summer.

Cesar Delgado, although not as prominent as the above legends, also left his mark with 5 goals in 3 consecutive seasons with Monterrey from 2012 to 2014. He was an important part in the Mexican representative's historic 3rd place journey in 2012.

Although the old format only allowed European teams to play a maximum of two matches, the above names still managed to leave their mark with impressive scoring records in this prestigious intercontinental arena.

This summer, the FIFA Club World Cup changed its format to 32 teams, like a mini World Cup but for clubs. This tournament is held centrally in the United States.
