'Forest' of initiatives in industrial parks

In recent years, in addition to the development in scale, industrial parks in the province have also made their mark in the emulation movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements among cadres, union members and workers.

In the period of 2020-2025, the movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements in industrial parks (IPs) in the province has achieved impressive results. The Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union recorded nearly 3,000 initiatives from staff, civil servants, union members and workers, with a total value of benefits up to 184 billion VND.

Mr. Duong Van Thai, Chairman of the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union, said: The Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union plays a core role in launching, guiding and organizing emulation movements to promote initiatives and technical improvements and considers this an important task to mobilize and attract a large number of union members to participate. Along with innovating the content, form and measures of propaganda and mobilization, the unit has mobilized enterprises to build an Initiative Fund to create resources to support the implementation of initiatives and technical improvements. The trade unions under the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union regularly coordinate with enterprises to develop plans to launch periodic emulation movements; organize training courses and foster research and writing skills for workers; promptly commend and reward highly effective initiatives...

In fact, through promoting the movement to promote initiatives and technical improvements in industrial parks, this movement has spread widely in most of the province's key industrial parks, such as: Song Cong I, Song Cong II, Yen Binh, Diem Thuy, Nam Pho Yen Industrial Parks...

Many large companies have built internal competition programs, such as: Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. (SEVT) maintains the annual "Idea Contest" program, with thousands of improvement ideas from workers being immediately applied to production practices; SR Tech Co., Ltd. (Song Cong I Industrial Park) has had many initiatives in improving production lines, improving packaging processes, bringing great economic efficiency...

It is worth noting that the initiatives not only focus on improving equipment and production lines, saving raw materials, but also on improving working conditions, increasing labor productivity, ensuring labor safety and minimizing environmental impact.

For example, the wastewater reuse project after treatment in garment factories of TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company has helped reduce operating costs significantly and protect the environment optimally. Many valuable initiatives come from daily work practices, from the acumen and "dare to think, dare to do" spirit of the workers themselves.

Individuals and collectives with initiatives and technical innovations were commended at the Conference to commend typical advanced examples among workers, civil servants and laborers in the 2020-2025 period, organized by the Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks Trade Union.

Reports from the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province show that many individuals have become shining examples honored at patriotic emulation conferences at the provincial and national levels. Typical examples include Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Head of the Maintenance Team at the Precision Mechanical Enterprise (Song Cong I Industrial Park), with the initiative to improve the automatic hydraulic oil supply system, with a profit value of 3.2 billion VND/year. Or Ms. Le Thu Huong, Packaging Processing Factory (Yen Binh Industrial Park), with the initiative to improve the automatic lubrication system to reuse solvents, with a profit value of 2.6 billion VND/year...

Ms. Huong shared: Every time I see the waste oil barrels that have to be destroyed, I feel sad. As an engineer, I want to save costs and reduce the impact on the environment. The production results are not only about profit but also about sustainable development, in harmony with nature.

Nearly 3,000 initiatives and technical improvements, with a total value of 184 billion VND in profits over the past 5 years, are vivid evidence of the creativity of the staff, union members and workers in the industrial parks in the province. This result not only contributes to improving productivity, product quality, and saving costs for businesses, but also contributes to the socio-economic development of the locality.

In the period of 2025-2030, the Provincial Industrial Parks Trade Union determined to continue promoting the movement of initiatives and technical improvements, prioritizing initiatives to apply digital transformation, automation, and 4.0 technology in production; encouraging green initiatives, energy saving, and environmental protection.
