While the tech community eagerly awaits the launch of the new foldable phone line at Samsung Unpacked next month, a mistake from Samsung itself has unexpectedly revealed the official names of its two flagships, including the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The official name was revealed via the Galaxy Store.

This information does not come from outside rumors but comes directly from the Galaxy Store, the "home" application platform of the Korean giant.

According to the discovery from the reputable technology news site GalaxyClub, a new application list on the Galaxy Store named "Samsung Internet Browser for Fold 7 and Flip 7" has accidentally confirmed the name of the new generation of foldable phones.

This is considered the first almost official evidence of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, two devices expected to lead the foldable smartphone market by 2025.

What's interesting is how this listing was discovered. The app only shows up as "Samsung Internet Browser for One UI 8 beta" on devices running the One UI 8 beta, like the Galaxy S25.

Meanwhile, on devices running Android 15 with One UI 7, the app is absent. Despite the different names, both versions of the app share the same version number (28.0.2.43), suggesting they are essentially the same.

This leak not only confirms the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 names, but also brings two important pieces of information:

One UI 8 launched with the foldable duo : This discovery reinforces Samsung's previous statement that One UI 8, the latest interface version, will be introduced first on the Galaxy Z series 2025. This promises to bring an optimal software experience, taking advantage of the hardware power of the two flagships.

Possible Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra : Right before the incident, Samsung had "teased" about an "Ultra experience" for the Z Fold series. Many speculated that the company could launch a higher-end version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, competing directly with rivals in the foldable smartphone segment.

And then there’s the launch date. A series of events have just been set up for Samsung Health for runners and Galaxy wearables users. And the cool thing is, they’re starting in New York on July 13.

The location and time of this event coincides with the rumored launch date of the Galaxy Z 2025. Therefore, analysts believe that Samsung will likely hold the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 13.

Hopefully Samsung will send out media invites for the event soon and everything will be confirmed.

This leak has increased excitement for the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event, where the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 are expected to be officially launched. With information gradually revealed, from the name, One UI 8 interface, to the possibility of an Ultra version, Samsung's foldable flagship duo promises to bring breakthrough design and performance, continuing to shape the future of the foldable smartphone market.

All fans need to do now is patiently wait next month to witness the full power and beauty of the Galaxy Z 2025 series.
