Hot rolled coil steel recorded sales volume exceeding 1.1 million tons for the first time in a quarter, up 18% compared to the first quarter. With 1.3 million tons, Hoa Phat 's construction steel and high-quality steel output in the last quarter increased by 7% compared to the first quarter.
Hoa Phat's downstream HRC products such as galvanized steel and steel pipes reached 110,000 tons and 216,000 tons respectively in the second quarter, a sharp increase compared to the first quarter of the year.
In the first 6 months of the year, Hoa Phat Group produced 5.1 million tons of crude steel, up 17% compared to the first 6 months of 2024. Sales of HRC, construction steel, high-quality steel and steel billets reached 5 million tons, up 23% compared to the first half of last year.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Hoa Phat's hot rolled coil steel production output increased sharply compared to the same period in 2024.
Of which, hot-rolled coil steel contributed 2.2 million tons, up 42% compared to the first half of 2024. Construction steel and high-quality steel of the Group recorded 2.5 million tons, up 11% compared to the first 6 months of last year. Hoa Phat holds the No. 1 market share in Vietnam in construction steel with 38%.
Currently, Hoa Phat Group is focusing on completing and producing products from blast furnace No. 6, aiming to complete phase 2 of the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 Iron and Steel Complex project in September this year.
Upon completion, the Group's total steel output will reach 16 million tons/year, including 8.5 million tons of hot-rolled coil steel, meeting 100% of the demand for this product in the Vietnamese market.
