In recent days, at Tung Linh Private Vocational Training Center, Mai Pha Commune, Lang Son City, many students have taken advantage of the April 30 - May 1 holiday to review and prepare for the official exam. There are not only new students but also many who have completed the course but have not been able to take the exam due to the transfer of tasks between functional agencies.
Mr. Dang Minh Vu, Van An commune, Chi Lang district said: I completed the Class C driving course at the end of 2024 and applied for the exam but there has been no exam yet. Currently, I still go to the center to review so as not to forget the lesson.
According to statistics from the Provincial Traffic Police Department, from March 1, 2025 to present, driver training and testing centers in the province have received about 2,300 driver testing registration applications, including nearly 1,300 car testing registration applications and 1,000 motorcycle testing registration applications.
Lieutenant Colonel Dang Thai Thanh, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police, said: Immediately after receiving the assignment, the department deployed and prepared all necessary conditions in terms of facilities and equipment to organize the examination. In May 2025, the examinations will be restarted. The Traffic Police Department also determined to work overtime to organize the examinations to relieve the pressure of backlog records, meeting the legitimate needs of the people.
Since the beginning of April 2025, the Traffic Police Department's working group has conducted comprehensive inspections at the testing centers, especially the infrastructure, surveillance camera systems, automatic scoring equipment, and theoretical and practical testing software. The team of supervisors and test invigilators have also been thoroughly trained to ensure that the testing takes place transparently and seriously.
Currently, there are 3 driving training and testing facilities in the province, all of which have met the testing conditions according to the new regulations. Mr. Bui Dinh Thu, Director of Tung Linh Private Vocational Training Center, Mai Pha Commune, Lang Son City, said: Currently, the center has 19 testing vehicles and 178 training vehicles. Recently, the Traffic Police Department has inspected and basically ensured that the center meets all the conditions to organize the testing sessions. From March 1, 2025 to now, the center has received about 800 sets of application documents for testing. In parallel with organizing training for new students, we also continue to review for students who have completed the course, ensuring knowledge for the testing session, while contributing to raising awareness and safe driving skills when participating in traffic in the future.
To facilitate the people, at present, all candidates taking the exam on this occasion will be arranged to take the exam according to the previous testing software of the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction). From July 1, 2025, all candidates will have to take the exam according to the software of the Ministry of Public Security .
With the drastic participation of the police force, the initiative of the testing centers and the serious spirit of the students, we believe that the driving license test in May will take place safely, seriously and in accordance with regulations.
