Sancho joins Chelsea on loan from Man Utd in the summer of 2024, with a £25m buyout clause if Chelsea finish 14th or better in the Premier League. The deal includes a clause allowing Chelsea to cancel the deal by paying a £5m penalty.
Last season, Chelsea finished 4th in the Premier League but the team still decided not to stick with the English midfielder due to concerns about the player's form.
The 25-year-old midfielder scored five goals and provided 10 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea in the 2024-25 season. He helped Enzo Maresca's side finish fourth in the Premier League and win the Conference League title with a record 42 goals since the competition's inception in 2021.

A return to Man Utd leaves Sancho with an uncertain future. Manager Ruben Amorim has said Sancho is not in his plans for next season and the Red Devils are keen to sell their reserve players in the summer transfer window to reorganise the squad.
Sancho has struggled since moving to Old Trafford. The England international joined Man Utd for £73m from Borussia Dortmund but is now looking for a new path.
Sancho's contract with Man Utd is currently valid until 2026, but he is not guaranteed a place in the "Red Devils" squad. This winger has many options to continue playing in England as well as other clubs in Europe.
According to the British newspaper Mirror, Sancho has been contacted to return to Germany, where he had a shining time at Dortmund. Along with that, Bayer Leverkusen is also said to be interested in this winger.
